Application of three dimensional DSA in diagnosis and treatment of peripheral arterial diseases

Abstract:AIM: To explore the value of three dimensional DSA in the diagnosis and treatment of the peripheral arterial diseases.METHODS: One hundred and twenty-five patients with complex peripheral arterial diseases were examined respectively with two dimensional DSA and three dimensional DSA.The images of each patient were compared.RESULTS: Three dimensional DSA images demonstrated the position,size and cervical of pseudoaneurysm more clearly than two dimensional DSA images.Three dimensional DSA images demonstrated the relations of catheter and true lumen,the consistency and inner structure of vascular,and arteriosclerosis plaques and properties,while two dimensional DSA failed to demonstrate these features.CONCLUSION: The three dimensional DSA plays a very important role in the diagnosis of peripheral arterial diseases.
