Abstract:The title compound, C16H12N2S4, was synthesized by reaction of 1,2-dibromoethane with the sodium salt of 2-mercaptobenzothiazole. The molecule has an approximate inversion centre, with two benzothiazole fragments having an antiparallel orientation, their least-squares planes forming a dihedral angle of 4.12 (12)°. The central four-atom S—C—C—S link is almost planar, its plane being approximately orthogonal to the benzothiazole planes [dihedral angles 84.98 (14) and 84.13 (15)°]. Intermolecular S⋯S interactions [3.657 (3) A] link the molecules in the crystal structure into infinite chains stretching along the [10\overline 1] direction.

Abstract:In the title compound, C(16)H(12)N(2)S(4), which is the result of the S-alkylation reaction of 2-mercaptobenzothiazole with ethylene dibromide, the planes of the two benzothiazole moieties form a dihedral angle of 3.84 (14) degrees. The bridging chain moiety, -SCH(2)CH(2)S-, adopts an antiperiplanar conformation. There are intermolecular S.S non-bonded contacts of 3.6471 (9) A, which stabilize the crystal packing.

Abstract:The crystal structure of the title compound, C6H8N4S22+.-2C(6)H(7)N(4)S(2)(+.)4C(7)H(4)NO(4)(-), comprises diprotonated diaminobithiazole (DABT) dications located on inversion centers, monoprotonated DABT cations and nitrobenzoate anions. The relatively short C - N( amino) bond distances, ranging from 1.310 (2) to 1.350 (2) angstrom, indicate electron delocalization between the amino groups and thiazole rings. Intermolecular N - H (...) O and N - H (...) N hydrogen bonds stabilize the crystal packing.

Abstract:In the title compound, C(8)H(5)NOS(2), the non-H atoms are approximately coplanar [maxium deviation = 0.060 (3) Å]. The dihedral angle between the least-squares planes of the pyridine and 1,3-dithiol-2-one rings is 5.96 (17)°. Abstract:The title compound, (1R,2R,3R,5S)-3-(3-chlorophenyl)-1-hydroxy-2-methyl-6-phenyl-8-oxa-6-azabicyclo[3.2.1]octan-7-one, was synthesized and characterized by H-1 and C-13 NMR and HRMS spectroscopy. Its absolute molecular configuration was investigated by X-ray crystallography. The crystal structure analysis revealed that the structure exhibits intermolecular hydrogen bonds of the type O-H horizontal ellipsis O. The methyl group and chlorophenyl group are located in the cis configuration. The conformation is stabilized by weak intermolecular C-H... O interactions.

Abstract:The title compound, C(20)H(12)N(2)S(2), was prepared by the reaction of o-phthalic acid and 2-amino-thio-phenol under microwave irradation. The phenyl ring, A, and the benzothia-zolyl rings, B and C, are planar; the dihedral angles are A/B = 19.9 (11), A/C = 87.8 (3) and B/C = 84.4 (4)°. Weak inter-molecular C-H⋯N hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecule, forming zigzag chains parallel to the c axis.

Abstract:The title compound, C19H17N3O 3S, was synthesized via the reaction of 2-(4,6-dimethoxypyrimidin-2- ylsulfanyl)benzoic acid and aniline in dichloromethane using dicyclohexylcarbodiimide as catalyst.
