Abstract:OBJECTIVE To discuss the terminal disposal and disease control and prevention of Haiti earthquake victims′ dead bodies.METHODS The terminal disposal process on the rescue site was as follows: identification of victims′ dead bodies,their sterilization,wrapping,re-sterilization,and bagging,then proceeding to carry and transport them and put them in cold storage,and final transportation.RESULTS The scientific,standardized and orderly disposal of the dead bodies could procet the team members against the infective disease.CONCLUSION The terminal disposal of the dead bodies on the rescue site is different from that in the hospital,thus the enhancement of comprehension of the terminal disposal of dead bodies is the key to effectively prevent the spread of disease,avoid both direct and indirect contact with them and thus contamination and spread of disease.
