Isolation and Identification of Serotype 1 Riemerella Anatipestifer from Geese in Guizhou Province

Abstract:Through bacterial morphological observation,micro-biochemical identification,PCR detection,gene sequence analysis and serotype identification,a serotype 1 strain of Riemerella anatipestifer was isolated from dead geeses in Guizhou province.Artificial infection test showed,the LD50 of RA isolate for 10 d goose reached 1.096×107cfu,and the RA could be isolated from dead geese's livers and brains.All the results suggest RA is important diseas in Guizhou geese feed,when select vaccine and active immunization to preventive and control RA,is the key serotype.
