Abstract:The present study reviews recent research into urban community sports in China. Whilst affirming the validity of the research the study indicates that there are some pitfalls that need to be avoided in such research, for example: the basic conceptual framework is superficial; the research design is inappropriate; and the research instruments employed are inadequate in terms of innovation and depth. The study suggests that Chinese culture, society and sport practices should be taken account of when overseas frames of reference are employed.

Abstract:With the methods of documentary,questionnaire survey and mathematical statistics,taking Hangzhou as an example,urban community sports management system in Chinese economically developed areas is researched.The major problems existing in community sports management system are analyzed.Restriction factors and innovative factors of the urban community sports system reform are researched.On the basis of current sports system reform,according to the management system of our community and the relationship between the management departments of community sports and the practice of community sports activity,a new management mode for community sports is put forward,which consists of the strong government and big society.

Abstract:With high level of urbanization ,global cultural influence ,highly developed profession-al sport ,and urban sports atmosphere ,American cities was welled constructed with sports .Al-though there is essential difference between China and the US city of intrinsic character and sports development mode ,Chinese sports city construction could learn from the US practice .It showed that :urban marketing become the primary motivation of American sports city with with industrialization and urbanization ,which has outstanding feature ;sports consumption has formed industrial chain structure completely ;professional sports has become part of the urban cultural consumption ;professional league produced the urban identity and identity group glory ;as well as sports carnival ,the city presents super media spectacle .American city integrating with sport depends on three key factor :autonomy and legal rights of urban consciousness ,ur-ban economy and commercial capital and cultural backgrounds and national characters .Based on those ,the paper reflects several topics on the cities and sports in China .

Abstract:Based on sociological perspective, the paper makes an exploration and analysis on the dimensions and connotation of urban sport symbols.It is noted that urban sport symbols can be divided into three dimensions, people, affairs, and materials, and examples of Shanghai and Beijing are applied for demonstration.Furthermore, the construction of urban sport symbols is discussed.Its construction should take the ideology of innovation, coordination, green, open and share.It also should be synchronized with the urban development.The principles of consistent temperament with the urban culture, adaption tothe subjective feeling of urban residents, coordination with the development of urban culture and ecology should be adhered to.In actual operation, it can be included in the overall urban planning, and rooted in local urban culture and involved into the daily life of residents.It aims to draw upurban personality, show the urban charm by constructing urban sportsymbols to create a unique urban brand and a better urban services.

Abstract:In order to strengthen theoretical researching,the paper analyzed connotation of city,urban culture and urban sports culture by means of literature review.Based on this,the paper also summarized the characteristics of urban sports culture and put forward some suggestion,which is to raise the model emphasizing on human's profit as the first place and build a physical culture development with character of city,to exploit the sources reasonably,improve the production of construction in physical culture and stipulate the management of the city,to expand the degree of the participation of the public,to emphasize the cultivation of the person of ability,and found the multi-layered internet of sports culture.

Abstract:Purpose Although both sports and cities have transformed over the last century, research on the intersection of sports and urban development remains scarce. This special issue was designed to advance a research agenda in relation to sports and urban development. The sports and urban development special issue of International Journal of Sport Marketing and Sponsorship brings together a collection of conceptual, empirical and commentary papers from four continents. Themes explored in this special issue include legacy, governance, image, climate change and sustainability. We encourage collaborative approaches between sport researchers and those with a focus on urban development, urban design and urban governance. Understanding the role of sports in the development of smart cities is an excellent opportunity for these collaborations to occur. Design/methodology/approach A comprehensive review of literature was undertaken to assess the literature related to sports and urban development. Findings In addition to this introductory article, there are ten manuscripts selected for this special issue investigating sports and urban development. Originality/value This special issue seeks to promote more research on sports and urban development, ultimately ultimately advancing theories and providing solutions.

Abstract:Germany has made great achievement in promoting modern sports,which can not only contribute to the improvement of citizens' life-quality and image of the country,but also to more sustainable urban planning and urban governance.This article presents a case study from Germany on how city authorities incorporate the usage of urban open spaces,especially the green spaces,as the sport field in to an integrated urban strategy.To begin with,the relationship between sports and city is addressed with a sociological explanation.Industrialization on the one hand makes modern sports an issue more urbanized;urbanization on the other hand destructed social relationships between individuals who value sports as a way of self-expression and reconstruction.Thereafter,the paper traces the development path of public sports in Germany,especially the program named "Golden Plan".Lastly,the paper discusses extensively the integrative development of urban green spaces and sports in Heidelberg.

Abstract:With high speed of urbanization process, unique urbanization model, and long history of urban autonomy, the civil society is highly developed in German. Moreover, with reasonable urban sports planning and balanced sports development, German sports city has set up typical samples around the construction of the global characteristic city culture. Although there is essential difference between China and the German city of intrinsic character and sports development mode, Chinese sports city construction could learn from the German practice. It showed that: German sports city appears in the post - industrial society city regeneration stage, related to the background of the rise of European and American sports city. The formation of German sports city follows the innate endogenous path, aimed to reshape the city and the public cultural identity and improve the quality of spiritual life, which was influenced By German city and German sports. Moreover, this paper explores the intrinsic factors of the construction achievements of the Germany sports city from three aspects: the urban social structure, the evolution of the cultural system and the urban spatial planning. Based on those, the paper reflects several topics on the cities and sports in China.

Abstract:In order to make a thorough research of the folk sports heritage in Xuzhou area,and to bring into play the function of folk sports in promoting the social development of this area,this paper makes an analysis of the characteristics,classification,existing forms and present status quo of the folk sports resouces in Xuzhou area,and provides some strategies.Though rich in folk sports resouces,Xuzhou area was slow in its pace of developing folk sports due to problems with exploitation,protection,and cultural awareness.The paper proposes to lead a industrializing road to enhance exploitation,arrangement,encrouragement of good variation,and digging up of cultural meanings.

Abstract:In this article, the authors conducted an in-depth study on the formation of a system of comprehensive education of Chinese citizens. In particular, the aspect of the influence of sports as a significant system of social development is considered. The authors consider a number of theoretical and practical issues regarding problematic topics. The prerequisites for the integration of sports into the list of academic disciplines, as well as a retrospective of the introduction of sports into educational programs, are revealed. In the course of the research, the importance of martial arts as a key direction in the sports education of young people and the relationship of this sport with the formation of a personality are analyzed in detail. In conclusion, the article presents the current state of sports education in educational institutions in China.

Abstract:The development of the Internet has had a profound impact on all sectors of society, and with the gradual advancement of urbanization in China, the construction of the sports industry has become a concern of people. This study mainly discusses the development of sports industry in smart city construction under the background of Internet. We should give full play to China's vast land resources, develop regional mountain outdoor sports industry, make use of the advantages of rich natural resources in mountain areas, integrate space resources, and establish a coordinated development mechanism among regions. The GIS geographic information system can integrate the information of the national fitness facilities needed by the masses, specifically display the geographical location and distribution of the site, and also check the surrounding services. The campus can use the class as a group to implement sports data analysis, so as to better teach and avoid the situation where some students are underintensity and some students are overintensity. Further promote the guidance of social community fitness and leisure activities. In the past three years, the added value of China's sports industry accounted for 0.63%, 0.64% and 0.7% of the annual GDP respectively. This study has a positive effect on the development of sports industry in China.

Abstract:Using literature analysis as the primary research method,in China city sports organization development issues was discussed under the context of public services.The study found that: urban social sport organizations are one of the main components of sport public services;the urban society of sports organizations are the most effective way for the socialization of sport public services;urban social sport organization is the physical foundation of public service system.Following development strategies on how to improve and consummate the public sport services are brought forward: set up urban social sports organizations hub-management system model;social sports organizations carry on the transferred part from the government sports public service function;establish Government-led social sports organizations development supporting system;put the core managing organizational development at the top priority;focus on the professional construction of social sports organizations.
