An Initial Questionnaire for Undergraduate's Utilitarian Psychology

Abstract:The objective of this article is to develop a questionnaire for undergraduate's utilitarianpsychology,combining logical analysis,factor analysis,reliability and validity.400 undergraduates are sampled respectively in preliminary survey and formal survey randomly.Three factors are identified using exploratory factor analysis.They are altruism and self-interest,immediate interest and long-term interest,moral and fame,reason and desire.Confirmatory factory analysis shows:χ2/df=1.96,RMSEA=0.057,IFI0.9,CFI0.9.The internal consistency among four factors is 0.723,and its split-half reliability is 0.803(p.001).Based on the results,questionnaire of undergraduate's psychology of utilitarianism has good reliability and validity and can be used in research work.
