Abstract:Pedagogy, in the sense of subject, refers to the knowledge system of understanding and studying the educational problems. As an independent subject, ithas already had a history of about three hundred years, but its status as a subject still remains questioned. Under such circumstances, it is urgent for us to reflect on the difficult situation pedagogy is in and help it out of it. Educational development at three different levels of knowledge, humans and practice is the objective requirement for pedagogy to exist. Otherwise, pedagogy will inevitably come to an end.

Abstract:An analysis of the theoretical defects of the classical pedagogies from Herbart to Dewey makes it reasonable to believe that educational research in China in the new century should undertake a theoretical mission - to clarify the knowledge types of educational theories for the establishment of its theoretical formation. Such a theoretical formation is not a single theory, but an integrated system of theories, including the reflection-based general theories consisting of abstract questions, the intermediate theories demonstrating methodological requirement and the micro-level theories reflecting concrete experience. Instead of being separated, these theories are mutually linked and interacted. A study of the structure and the unique significance of theoretical issues in education can help us believe that the progress of educational theory also implies the progress in our understanding of educational conditions.

Abstract:The institutalization of educational research means the specialization of academy. Furthermore, it means the bureaucraticization of special life. The institutalization of educational research promotes the prosperity of Pedagogy, but at the same time, it leads to the separation between the academy and the life, the theory and the practice; the mode of bureaucratic government and rigid system of academic estimate as well as the educational researcher's living style restrict educational theory's power of explanation, influence and life force, which makes pedagogy confront with plight. There are three outlets for pedagogy to overcome its plight. Firstly, we should stride over the living border and attain common understanding between researcher and practitioner. Secondly, we should change evaluating mechanism, facilitate its rationalization. Finally, we should keep a critical vigilance to our living style in institute and strengthen our academic accomplishment. We should have an appropriate chess between the system and our development in order to improve pedagogy's rationalization.

Abstract:Nowadays,Science is in transition.As a new discipline driven by social needs,the construction of the postgraduate pedagogy discipline should adhere to the integration of theoretical logic and social logic in theory development.The author suggests that equal attention be paid to the encouragement for paradigm formation and multi-paradigm co-existence in disciplinary theoretical paradigm development.The author proposes that people should persist in the symbiosis of macroscopic theory and microcosmic theory in disciplinary theoretical system and persist in cooperation between researchers and practitioners in terms of discipline construction forces.

Abstract:There has been a certain "falling-behind" phenomenon in our college pedagogical theory research for a long time, which manifests itself in that some views of college pedagogical theories are borrowed from fundamental education researches, and that researches conducted on the same topic are not as deep as those of fundamental education research. The reason for this "falling-behind" phenomenon is that the pedagogical theory research in higher education has not got out of the restriction of macro-perspective paradigm and gone into the micro-research field, so that the outcomes usually circle around general introductions and solutions. To make a difference, the researchers should improve their problem awareness, based on which they can probe into and acquire the knowledge of other research areas, so as to gradually lead the pedagogical theories to the direction of micro-perspective and get out of this "falling-behind" situation.
