Abstract:Two new recorded species of genus Longidorus (L. pius and L. diadecturus) were recovered and collected from rhizosphere of deciduous trees in Hangzhou of Zhejiang Province and Wuhan of Hubei Province, China, respectively. Morphological identity was confirmed using the revised polytomous key of Loof & Chen, 1999.The codes for identifying the species of L.pius and L.diadecturus are A56-B4-C3-D1-E1-F3-G1-H1-I1 and A4-B23-C5-D3-F2-G2-H1-I1,respectively.L.pius was characterized by medium body size(L=4.7-6.3 mm),anterior region abruptly tapering with rounded lip continuous from body profile,odontostyle long(130-143 μm)and short rounded tail.Meanwhile,L.diadecturus could be distinguished by short body size(3.2-4.6 mm), short odontostyle (108-120 μ m), posterior position of guide ring (33-38 μ m), wide lip region and a relatively anterior vulva. Phylogenetically, the rDNA internal transcribed spacer 1 (ITS1) region of L. pius from China showed 99% supported clade with L. pius topotype (AM743178) from Macedonia, and the similar relationship was obtained in L. diadecturus from China with 99% well supported clade to L. diadecturus type population (AF511416)from Canada.In addition,the 28S region of L.diadecturus from China showed 99% supported clade with L.diadecturus type specimen(AY601584),whereas L.pius noticeably clustered to L.raskii(AJ549983)and Longidorus sp. FDL-2011 (FR775757).The two species, L. pius and L. diadecturus were recorded for the first time in China, and the morphological description and phylogenetic relationships of the given species were provided in this study.

Abstract:Two populations of Paratylenchus lepidus and P. minor were detected in the rhizosphere of Elaeocarpus sp. and Chinese red pine from Taizhou and Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China. Previously, P. lepidus has been reported from China whereas P. minor was originally described from India decades ago in the rhizosphere of peach but was never reported thereafter. In this study, both species were characterized morphologically and molecularly coupled with SEM observations. Morphologically, both species have four incisures in the lateral field, vulval present (SEM observations), stylet less than 30 mu m long and cephalic region without submedian lobes. Phylogenetically, both species grouped with paratylenchid species having short stylets. Both species can be differentiated from each other by the shape of lip region (rounded in P. lepidus and narrow truncated in P. minor) and tail terminus (pointed in P. lepidus and a broadly rounded in P. minor) and several morphomemtrical values.The study provided an updated description of P. lepidus and P. minor and a first record of P. minor from China. In addition, both species are the first paratylenchid species recorded from Elaeocarpus sp. and Pinus tabuliformis, respectively.

Abstract:Euphorinae (Hymenoptera, Braconidae) is a large subfamily of endoparasitoid wasps with 1,270+ described species worldwide (Yu et al. 2016). In the phylogenetic analysis of Stigenberg et al. (2015) Rilipertus Haeselbarth, 1996 was recovered within the tribe Perilitini Forster,1862 together with several other genera. Rilipertus is morphologically similar to Microctonus Wesmael, 1836 and Perilitus Nees, 1819 by the type of wing venation, structure of propodeum, and shape and structure of first metasomal tergite. However, Rilipertus differs distinctly from them by having shorter and conspicuously broadened ovipositor sheaths and the sculpture of the first tergite is reduced. Six species of Rilipertus are currently known (Yu et al. 2016).

Abstract:A new green lacewing species Apertochrysa roseusfrontata sp. nov. and a newly recorded Plesiochrysa ramburi (Schneider, 1851) (Neuroptera: Chrysopidae: Chrysopinae) from South China are described based on the morphological characters of both adults and larvae. Both species were found predating Dysmicoccus neobrevipes Beardsley, 1959 (Hemiptera: Pseudococcidae) on sisal (Agave sisalana Perrine, 1838) in Guangdong Province.

Abstract:The genera Bitomoides van Achterberg, 2004, Neopius Gahan, 1917 and Sternaulopius Fischer, 1965 of the subfamily Opiinae are newly discovered in China and one new species of each genus are described and illustrated, viz. Bitomoides platyaulicis Sheng Chen sp. n., Neopius citrinus Sheng Chen, sp. n. and Sternaulopius macrophthalmos Sheng Chen sp. n. The status of the genus Neopius Gahan is discussed.

Abstract:A new species of Cryptodesmidae , Trichopeltis jiyue sp. nov. , is described from the Ailaoshan National Nature Reserve in Yunnan Province, southwest China. The new species is distinguished from its congeners by the gonopodal coxae with two conspicuous wing-like processes, the relatively long, stout setae on the gonopodal coxae, gonopodal telopodites glabrous and four-branched, and the acropodite curved caudolaterad. The new species is the second record of an epigean species of genus Trichopeltis Pocock, 1894 in China. An updated key is provided to all 14 presently known species.

Abstract:The Chinese species of Lilioceris are revised, and three new species are described from Tibet, China: Lilioceris zhentangensis Xu & Liang, sp. nov. , Lilioceris medogensis Xu & Liang, sp. nov. and Lilioceris zayuensis Xu & Liang, sp. nov. Five species of Lilioceris are reported for China as new records: L. dromedarius (Baly, 1861), L. pulchella (Baly, 1859), L. semicostata (Jacoby, 1908), L. unicolor (Hope, 1831) and L. nepalensis Takizawa, 1989. Lilioceris seminigra (Jacoby, 1889) is proposed as a junior synonym of L. unicolor Hope, 1831. Redescriptions, habitus photographs, geographic distributions, host plants (if available) and habitats are provided for these species.

Abstract:Leptogenys is the most diverse genus of the ant subfamily Ponerinae and is widely distributed across the world's tropical and subtropical regions. More than 40 species are known from the Oriental realm displaying a wide range of ecologies, although their life history traits remain poorly understood, and new species are frequently discovered. Here, a faunal review of the genus from Hong Kong SAR, southern China is provided. A total of nine species are recorded, with one new species, Leptogenys grohli Hamer, Lee & Guénard, sp. nov. described. Ecological and biogeographic information, including new information on reproductive modes for two species are provided with the ergatoids of L. binghamii Forel, 1900 and L. rufida Zhou et al., 2012 described. Additional records for five of these species within the neighbouring province of Guangdong are also provided. Finally, an illustrated key to species known from Hong Kong is presented, as well as notes on each species' distribution, ecology, and behaviour. An updated provincial distributional checklist of the Leptogenys species of Mainland China and Taiwan is also supplied.

Abstract:Seven new species of the family Psychomyiidae Walker, 1852 are described and illustrated from China; they are Psychomyia shuni sp. nov. , Ps. mangshanensis sp. nov. , Ps. capricornis sp. nov. , Lype sagittalis sp. nov. , Paduniella fasciaria sp. nov. , Pa. sanyaensis sp. nov. , and Tinodes aviformis sp. nov. The genus Lype is reported for the first time from mainland China. In addition, four psychomyiids are found to be new to the Chinese caddis fauna: Psychomyia indra Malicky & Chantaramongkol, 1993; Paduniella andamanensis Malicky, 1979; Pa. dendrobia Malicky & Chantaramongkol, 1993; and Tinodes gapbona Johanson & Oláh, 2008. Moreover, Psychomyia polyacantha Li, Qiu & Morse, 2021 is reviewed and synonymized with Psychomyia imamiah Malicky, 2020.

Abstract:The Bostrichidae is a small family of Coleoptera, with up to 600 described species all over the world. Almost 90 species of the family have been recorded in China at present and several new species of powder-post beetles have been described in recent years. Since the 1940s, the family Bostrichidae has become a neglected group in the taxonomy research of the Chinese mainland compared with its extensive territorial and super complex ecological diversity. Thus, there is need for more field specimen collection and in-depth taxonomic study.In this study, two powder-post beetles species Trogoxylon spinifrons (Lesne, 1910) and Minthea bivestita Lesne, 1937, are recorded for the first time from China. New provincial distribution records of another 18 Bostrichidae also listed.

Abstract:The lecithocerid genus Woonpaikia Park, 2010 and Woonpaikia angoonae Park, 2010 are newly recorded from China. Woonpaikia similangoonae Yu & Wang, sp. nov. and W. imperspicua Yu & Wang, sp. nov. are described as new to science. Images of adults of the Chinese Woonpaikia species are provided, along with a key to the males of all the known species of Woonpaikia .

Abstract:Epermenia (Calotripis) sinjovi Gaedike, 1993, feeding on Angelica pubescens Maxim. and A. ursina Maxim., was previously recorded in Russia (Far East, Southern Siberia and Transbaikalia), Kunashir Island and Japan. This species is for the first time reported in China by rearing from a new host plant A. polymorpha Maxim. The larva and pupa are illustrated and described for the first time. Available biological information associated with the new host plant is also reported. Reference DNA barcodes are provided for E. (C.) sinjovi, which confirms that forewing distinct colors and morphological differences found in venation and genitalia among individuals are intraspecific variations. The adult morphological variations within population are analyzed and discussed.

Abstract:During our studying of the fauna of Tibet, China, many specimens of the subfamily Tachininae ( Diptera , Tachinidae ) were collected and examined. Three species are described here as new to science, Leskia latisurstyla sp. nov. , Trichoformosomyia cuonaensis sp. nov. , and Tachina jilongensis sp. nov. , and two species, Nemoraea javana (Brauer & Bergenstamm, 1894) and N. echinata Mesnil, 1953, are newly recorded from Tibet. In addition to their descriptions, illustrations, and diagnoses, three identification keys are provided. The specimens in this study are kept in the Insect Collection of Shenyang Normal University, China ( SYNU ).

Abstract:The lacteus-, mycetophilus- and laspeyresiella-groups of the genus Apanteles Foerster (Hymenoptera, Braconidae, Microgastrinae) are newly recorded from China with eight new species being described, namely A. basicavus Liu & Chen, sp. n. of the lacteus-group; A. brevivena Liu & Chen, sp. n. and A. parapholetesor Liu & Chen, sp. n. of the mycetophilus-group; A. artustigma Liu & Chen, sp. n., A. hainanensis Liu & Chen, sp. n., A. magnioculus Liu & Chen, sp. n, A. sparsus Liu & Chen, sp. n. and A. thoracartus Liu & Chen, sp. n. of mycetophilus-group. Two newly recorded species of the mycetophilus- group are described and illustrated. Keys to the Chinese species of those groups are provided.
