Abstract:Objective To investigate the correlation between level of erythrocyte receptor type1(E-CR1)and blood cell counts in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE),and to study the significance of E-CR1 level in pathogenesis of SLE.Methods The fluorescence intensity in seria from 72 patients with SLE and 20 cases of normal controls were detected by flucytometry, and blood cell counts, including white blood cells(WBC),red blood cells(RBC),hemoglobin(HGB),hematocrit(HCT),mean corpuscular volume(MCV)and platele(tPLT) were detected at the same time. Results The E-CR1 level in patients with SLE was lower significantly than that in normal controls(P 0.01),and was lower in active SLE(n = 46)than that in inactive SLE(n = 26)(P 0.05).In 72 patients with SLE,E-CR1 level showed linear positive correlation significantly with HGB(P 0.01)and linear positive correlation with HCT(P 0.05).In active SLE,E-CR1 level showed linear positive correlation significantly with RBC,HGB and HCT(P 0.01),whereas in inactive SLE,E-CR1 level showed linear negative correlation with HGB and HCT.Conclusion The decreased level of E-CR1 might be one of the reasons in patho-genesis of SLE,consequently resulting in HGB and HCT decrease and deterioration of SLE,and might be the result of immunopathological damage from SLE.
