Abstract:The changing from Ming Dynasty to Qing Dynasty is a key topic in the studies of Chinese history. Unlike the traditional studies of history, most of the overseas scholars in the recent thirty years tend to transcend the changing of dynasties itself, but is inclined to neglect the important function of the dynasty-changing in a particular epoch of historical transformation. What is more,is the bias in judging phenomena and behaviors. In viewing from a perspective of the local history of society, one can see "neither Qing nor Ming" as it is expressed for different district and time. The same is true that,if the history of Ming Dynasty is neglected, many historical events in the changing period as well as in the Qing Dynasty would not be correctly understood, which is called "no Qing without Ming". The discussion about which, either the Ming Dynasty or the Qing Dynasty is superior, must be discarded today.
