Abstract:Bus rapid transit system has the advantages of safety,efficiency,alleviating traffic jam and energy saving and emission reduction,however disputes often arise in the planning stage from many stakeholders and the citizens,which will affect the bus rapid transit implementation processes and lead to imbalances between efficiency priority and fairness concurrent.It is urgently need to establish a good communication relationship between the subject and the object.Firstly,based on the analysis of the purpose of public participation in bus rapid transit system planning,this article presents the problems of the current public participation;then this paper analyzes the methods of public participation in terms of propaganda and communication;finally this paper clarifies the importance of public participation in bus rapid transit system planning in the case of Changzhou city.
