Abstract:Objective To investigate the health education needs of family members of patients with liver cancer after interventional therapy.Method A self-designed questionnaire was used in the study and 60 family members of patients with liver cancer after interventional therapy completed the questionnaires.Results The family members of patients with liver cancer had inadequate nursing care knowledge about interventional therapy.They were eager to know the effect after interventional therapy,complication prevention and the prognosis of liver cancer.The guidance of nursing care was very important,especially through getting helps and supports from professional health care personnal.Conclusion It is suggested to provide comprehensive health education through various means for the family members of patients with liver cancer,thereby to increase their ability to provide effective care and to improve the quality of life for liver cancer patients.
