Phytoplankon Community Structure and Water Quality Evaluation in Luodian Section of Longtan Reservoir

Abstract:Sampling was carried out from November 2011 to September 2012 in order to recognize the phytoplankton community structure and water quality conditions in Longtan reservoir.The result showed that total 72 kinds of plankton were identified.The plankton average density ranged from 4.08 ×104 ind./L to 33.36×104 ind/L,and biomass ranged from 0.67 mg/L to 4.16 mg/L in the four seasons.Biological assessment of water pollution and eutrophic condiction was conducted by using the methods of indicator organism and biotic index.The results indicated that the water quality was the type of nutrition between middle and poor in Longtan reservoir.
