Research on Anxiety, Depression and the Related Factors in Patients with Heart Failure in Coronary Heart Disease

Abstract:Objective To understand the incidence of depression and anxiety in heart failure patients with coronary heart disease (CHD), in this paper, I will analyze the relationship with factors and depression, anxiety,and compare the different grades of depression and anxiety in heart failure patients with CHD for cardiac functional insufficiency, so as to provide a basis for clinical intervention. Methods Questionnaires of general information, Zung Self-rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) and serf-rating depression scale (SDS), were used to perform a survey on 90 heart failure patients with CHD in CCU, the first and second ward of department of cardiology and the department of elderly, in Shanghai Jiaotong University affiliated ninth people' s hospital. Results The depression level (48.64 ±10.05 ), anxiety level (48.10 ± 8.47) of patients with coronary heart disease were higher than the norm (33.46 ±8.55,29.78 ± 10.07 ;t = 14. 337,20. 530;P <0. 01 )..The incidence of anxiety was 72.22%, SDS rough point ≥40 points in 61 cases. The incidence of depression was 67.78%, and the rate of coexistence of depression and anxiety was 65.56%. The level of depression and anxiety in patients with coronary heart disease varies with age, educational attainments, duration of disease, and place of residence, marriage, family supports and financial conditions( P < 0. 05 ). The higher the level of cardiac function in patients with coronary heart disease, the higher of depression and anxiety scores ( F = 10. 609,11. 957 ; P < 0. 01 ). Conclusions Patients with coronary heart disease are more likely to have depressive and anxious emotions, so the poor cardiac function in patients will worse their depression and anxiety conditions. In conclusion, it is of great significance to early identify depression and anxiety emotions of patients of different grades of cardiac functions and take effective psychological intervention for the treatment and prognosis of diseases, which will ultimately improve the quality of our lives.
