Abstract:Nowadays, based on the thesis of Agile Supply Chain, More and more company trend to develop collaborative relationship with their suppliers/vendors and focus on the long-term relationship in the supply chain to enhance its competition kernel in its segment market. Hegemony enterprise needs a rapid & synthetic qualitative & quantitative evaluation and selection method for potential suppliers in the supply chain. The paper integrates the DEA-based quantitative external method and the ANP-based subjective method and presents a new model of (ANP& DEA)-based supplier evaluation. Furthermore, the paper introduces the mathematic analysis process for a case of a product-end manufacturer to confirm the presenting model.

Abstract:Based on operation characteristics of agile supply chain,the structure of performance measurement index system in agile supply chain management was studied.A hierarchal measurement index system was established which was applicable to make decision for strategy layer of agile supply chain.Measurement benchmark issue was discussed and a process framework for agile supply chain performance measurement based on benchmarking was proposed,including the construction of internal and external benchmark databases.An Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) algorithm was suggested to calculate evaluation weights of measurement indexes,and an improved fuzzy comprehensive evaluation algorithm was presented to solve the complicated performance measurement problem in the Web-based performance measurement prototype system.Implementation of the process framework indicated that it was an effective approach to performance measurement in agile supply chain.

Abstract:To achieve food safety, risk control in food supply chain is required. Supplier evaluation and selection is one important process for food supply chain. This paper establishes a system based on risk control and integrates the DEA-based objective method and the ANP-based subjective method into a new ANP&DEA-based decision model for supplier evaluation. The paper explains the mathematical analysis in the specific case of a deteriorating food supply chain to confirm the model.

Abstract:Effective supply chain design calls for robust analytical models and design tools. Previous works in this area are mostly Operation Research oriented without considering manufacturing aspects. Recently, researchers have begun to realize that the decision and integration effort in supply chain design should be driven by the manufactured product, specifically, product characteristics and product life cycle. In addition, decision-making processes should be guided by a comprehensive set of performance metrics. In this paper, we relate product characteristics to supply chain strategy and adopt supply chain operations reference (SCOR) model level I performance metrics as the decision criteria. An integrated analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and preemptive goal programming (PGP) based multi-criteria decision-making methodology is then developed to take into account both qualitative and quantitative factors in supplier selection. While the AHP process matches product characteristics with supplier characteristics (using supplier ratings derived from pairwise comparisons) to qualitatively determine supply chain strategy, PGP mathematically determines the optimal order quantity from the chosen suppliers. Since PGP uses AHP ratings as input, the variations of pairwise comparisons in AHP will influence the final order quantity. Therefore, users of this methodology should put greater emphasis on the AHP progress to ensure the accuracy of supplier ratings.

Abstract:Supply chain (SC) performance evaluation is a complex decision-making problem involving various criteria under uncertainty situations. This paper studies the supply chain performance evaluation of a furniture manufacture industry in the southwest of China. We identify the main uncertainty factors affecting evaluation process, and then model and analyze them using our rough data envelopment analysis (RDEA) models. We create rough DEA by integrating classical DEA and rough set theory. The solution approach of rough DEA is discussed and employed to evaluate the supply chain network operation efficiency of the furniture manufacture industry. Then we give a practical example to illustrate the efficacy and efficiency of the rough DEA model and show how decision-making is improved by the insights the rough DEA model provides.

Abstract:Supply chain management (SCM) is one of the most important competitive strategies used by modern enterprises. The main aim of supply chain management is to integrate various suppliers to satisfy market demand. Meanwhile, supplier selection and evaluation plays an important role in establishing an effective supply chain. Traditional supplier selection and evaluation methods focus on the requirements of single enterprises, and fail to consider the entire supply chain. Therefore, this study proposes a structured methodology for supplier selection and evaluation based on the supply chain integration architecture.In developing the methodology for supplier selection and evaluation in a supply chain, enterprise competitive strategy is first identified using strengths weaknesses opportunities threats (SWOT) analysis. Based on the competitive strategy, the criteria and indicators of supplier selection are chosen to establish the supplier selection framework. Subsequently, potential suppliers are screened through data envelopment analysis (DEA). Technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS), a multi-attribute decision-making (MADA) method is adapted to rank potential suppliers. Finally, the Taiwanese textile industry is used to illustrate the application and feasibility of the proposed methodology.This study facilitates the improvement of collaborator relationships and the management of potential suppliers to help increase product development capability and quality, reduce product lifecycle time and cost, and thus increase product marketability.

Abstract:As the continual development strategy and environment protection consciousness embedded into the human's heart, manufacturing enterprises are faced with new requirements in their supplier evaluation systems. A newer and more comprehensive evaluation approach, supplier green evaluation system, is given in this paper. The method fulfills the green evaluation to the supplier. To study the science relationship of the green supply chain in the manufacturing enterprise, this paper applies the rough set (RS) theory into the supplier green evaluation system, with which the technical target of the whole process in supplier evaluation and selection could be reasonable. By this evaluation method, it can make scientific evaluation for supplier selection. At last, the application reference model of the decision-making support system (DSS) for supplier evaluation and selection is established, with which the strategic alliance could get a basis for decision-making.

Abstract:The dynamic nature of the supply chain due to personalised demand and technological advancements has made supplier selection a challenging issue in supply chain management. This research paper aims to tackle the supplier selection problem in a multi-period, multi-sourced, and multi-product environment by creating a process that places the manufacturer at the centre. Firstly, this paper has constructed a multi-period supplier dynamic preference model that takes into account environmental protection, to minimize the total cost and carbon emissions. Secondly, the Taguchi method is extended to the supplier selection problem in the field of quality engineering. The parameter optimisation process is then designed based on the Taguchi method, aiming to optimise the main key parameters that affect supplier selection and determine the optimisation level combinations upon which the model is solved. Finally, the model's feasibility and evolution are verified through examples of its application. The paper's methodology enhances the model's relevant parameters' robustness, augments decision-making efficiency, and offers suppliers guidance to boost their performance and substantially cut the manufacturer's total procurement expenditure and carbon dioxide emissions.

Abstract:Supply-demand matching degree evaluation is an effective way to reduce the transaction risk of manufacturing supply-demand subjects. Cloud manufacturing provides a platform for supply-demand entities through the network. Based on the characteristics of cloud manufacturing, this paper proposes an intelligent evaluation method of supply-demand matching degree based on ELECTRE III and VIKOR. Firstly, the demand side uploads a bill of material on the cloud manufacturing platform, and the supplier provides a supply plan. The demand side forms an evaluation team to evaluate the quality of the supplied product. Secondly, the weight of the evaluators is calculated in cloud manufacturing platform based on the similarity measurement method. Then, the cloud manufacturing platform carries out the weighted aggregation of evaluation information and uses the ELECTRE III method to build the weak advantage relationship among indicators. Finally, the cloud manufacturing platform performs a VIKOR compromise calculation and selects the optimal supply-demand matching degree. At the end of the paper, an example is taken to evaluate the matching degree of supply-demand of robot machined parts, to demonstrate the practicability of the new method. Based on Canny algorithm, a robot action stability test platform is built to verify the calculation results of the new method.

Abstract:Strengthening supply chain management has become an effective way to improve the competitiveness of enterprises. Supply chain management, as a kind of brand-new management idea, emphasizes that each node enterprise, on the basis of their own core competitiveness, establish strategic cooperative partnership with other enterprises. In the supply chain management, supplier evaluation and selection is the foundation of the supplier cooperative relationship establishment. Therefore, the primary task of supply chain management is to choose the right supplier. This paper constructs a supplier evaluation index system from four aspects such as customer satisfaction, enterprise operating condition, the financial condition of enterprise and enterprise development prospect, using principal component analysis for the index system application. This supplier evaluation index system is of guiding significance in the choice of supplier.

Abstract:Under the trend of lean product development thinking, more parts of a product were out-sourced or off-shored, which brings the challenges of collaboration between core enterprise and its suppliers. Both the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and its suppliers are moving toward quickly providing better products in shorter time by establishing the virtual enterprise. So, effective and efficient collaboration between them throughout the entire product and project lifecycle is becoming significantly important for the win-win situation. To address this need, a scenario for collaborative project management with supplier involvement is proposed in this article. What and how to collaborate with supplier are proposed as well. The system architecture, and the corresponding function, information, process collaboration methods are developed and implemented in this study. Indeed, it is hoped that the development of such a system for the collaboration of project lifecycle in virtual enterprise will lay the frontier basis for the further research of effective project management within virtual enterprise to pursue the most advanced competitiveness.
