Abstract:Campus micro-cloud service system, an innovative application which is combined with mobile Internet and cloud computing, is a convenient tool within the campus for home-school communication between teachers and parents. The system is based on the extension and upgrade of the application of the original School Card or home-school system which is mainly relying on the interaction between the mobile operator's text messages and computer platform. Abstract:The Mobile Internet is an integrated product of the traditional internet and mobile communications, and represents one of the most rapidly growing IT fields for the current and a long period of time.However, data show that the global mobile internet is still in its infancy, there exist many problems to be solved and clarified.This paper first outlines the basic concept of the mobile internet, including its definition, features, and architecture.Then, based on the current architecture, we discussed in detail the research status, problems, and solutions of its various components, including mobile terminals, access network, applications and services, as well as security and privacy.Finally, future research and development trends of cloud computing were discussed.

Abstract:The core-network suffers from inflexible and expensive equipment. Service chaining is a common but important problem of network management in Gi-LAN. The requirements of business agility drive the service architecture to services flexibility and scalability. To address these challenges, SDN centralized control and the NFV concept of CT reconstruction with IT virtualization technology are used to enable a reform in the mobile core network and the Gi-LAN service field. In this paper, following the technical trend of 5G, we propose the Cloud-ICT Convergence Service Architecture to construct an open and elastic digital information ecosystem. This architecture is a solution that provides flexibility in managing infrastructure and uses virtualization to dynamically orchestrate service chains on demand. The information ecosystem constructed in this architecture can provide the functional convergence of IT&CT services in addition to the traditional cellular network functions.

Abstract:In order to make full use of education resource through digital campus network (DCN) and to provide more personal and convenient education manner for staff and students, this paper presented a mobile digital campus networks based on 3G mobile communications network. In the proposed mobile DCN, a WAP gateway server was employed to bridge between traditional DCN and 3G network. The WAP server consisted of an information resource server, a video steaming server and wireless messaging server. Over the mobile DCN, wireless technology such as 3G technology and Zigbee were used to help staff and student to learn, manage, monitor and communicate with one cleverish mobile device. The mobile DCN can really realize the goal of continuously connecting with DCN in "any place, any time, any place, during the move".

Abstract:This paper applied literature research method, case study method and method of comparative analysis, and compared differences between 4G and 3G mobile communication systems, to illuminate that the 4G system can provide mobile internet application more advanced than that of 3G, and put forward direction for construction of library in 4G environment. According to construction situation of the existing mobile libraries, it raised new thinking to construct library in new environment. Although the international standard of 4G has not yet been set, the construction and development of 4G network will inevitably influence libraries. Therefore, this paper can serve as a modest spur to induce valuable contributions of research on library science in the 4G era that is in a booming development. This paper introduced the latest mobile communication technology in library environment, created new opportunity for development of library, and combined with the existing pattern of the current mobile library to exploit new value space, and brought more new services for users. It emphasized the preparatory work for library to face with changes of new communication environment and drew the conclusion that the 4G network is the development and modification of 3G and will produce more new applications beneficial to improving operation experience of users. The 4G network will bring greater changes for development of mobile libraries. 4G mobile library will bring convenient reading for more users in the future three or five years.

WeChat Library: a new mode of mobile library service

Abstract:Purpose This study aims to introduce a new mode of mobile library service, named “WeChat Library”, developed under the WeChat (social media platform) public service platform. The design and realization of WeChat Library is also presented with Chongqing University Library taken as the example. Design/methodology/approach This study designed a new mobile library service system, WeChat Library of Chongqing University Library, analyzed its construction cost and usage statistics and discussed the advantages of the new service mode. Findings Investigation results showed that 84.6 per cent of the “985” universities opened up WeChat Libraries, which signified that WeChat Library has become one of the important mobile service modes for Chinese university libraries. WeChat Library received high appreciation from the patrons; in 20 months of operation, 20.3 per cent of patrons in Chongqing University had used WeChat Library. The five most commonly used services are OPAC retrieval, items borrowed, personal center, resource discovery and announcements. WeChat Library was found to have many advantages, such as low development cost, automatic cross-platform service, adaptive screen, low acceptance cost, easier promotion, strong user viscosity, strong interactivity and real-time consulting. Practical implications The functional design and technological architecture of WeChat Library was presented with Chongqing University Library taken as the example. The technical realization of several unique services, namely, QR code access, space reservation and overdue reminders, was also demonstrated. The study will provide favorable suggestions and references for other libraries that have also launched the WeChat Library. Originality/value The mainstream service mode of mobile libraries is application for mobile terminals (APP). Although mobile services are applied extensively in China, numerous small- and medium-sized libraries are still unable to provide mobile services for patrons primarily because the investment is too high to bear for some libraries. Therefore, mobile library services urgently need a more economical model of mobile services. The most prominent advantages of WeChat Library are its low development cost and low technology threshold. WeChat Library can provide a better solution for mobile library services.

Abstract:With the development of internet and handheld terminal,Application(APP) has been extensively applied in information services and knowledge dissemination by its characteristics such as convenient,speedy and personalized customization push.APP mobile services provided by foreign libraries have many types,such as basic mobile services,digital resource push,community services,and so on.Meanwhile,a small number of libraries in China has just started to provide mobile services with new technologies,such as APP.Most services of them are the extension of traditional services,and their contents and forms are simple.In order to promote the development of APP mobile services,libraries should pay more attention to the potential mobile information needs of users,dig and integrate characteristic collection resources,expand service functions,focus on the technical cooperation with third-party,and strengthen the marketing and promotion.
