Abstract:The biodegradable Mg-Zn alloy samples are implanted in cecum to study the influence on rat hepatic and renal function electrolytes.72 SD rats are randomly divided into magnesium alloy group, medical titanium group and the sham-operated group, and each group has 24 SD rats. Then magnesium-zinc alloy samples with the dimension of 5mm×1mm×1mm are embeded in the cecum incision. The same surgical procedure is done in the medical titanium group, and just suture in the sham-operation group.Prior to and after operation the hepatic and renal function electrolyte of each group are examined. The results show that there are no significant differences in the blood hepatic and renal function electrolytes among the magnesium alloy group, the titanium group and the sham-operated group(P0.05).Mg-Zn alloy after implantation in rat cecum has no obvious effects on the hepatic and renal function electrolytes, which is used to initially confirm the biological security of the Mg-Zn alloy in the intestine field.
