So there exists a level-2 fuzzy set and type-2 fuzzy set which originally proposed by Zadeh. Then some scholars elaborated these two concepts, respectively.

Abstract: Since the fuzzy set was initialized by Zadeh[9], the possibility theory has been developed Dubios and Prade[48], and it has been applied in many fields. Later, many scholars proposed the concept of two-fold uncertain variables, combined fuzzy variables with fuzzy and random variables. The concept of the fuzzy random variable was first defined by Kwakernaak [215]. There are further scholars who defined the concept of the fuzzy random variable, Puri and Ralescu [139], Kruse and Meyer [214], Wang and Qiao [281], López-Diaz and Gil [228],Colubi[166], Liu [226], whichwas widely extended tomany fields. Li and Xu [1, 2], Xu and Liu [3] discussed the properties of fuzzy random variables, and introduced the fuzzy random(Fu-Ra) multi-objective decision making models and a way to deal with them; some crisp equivalent models are given and relative algorithms are proposed to solve the problem. Finally, these models and algorithms are applied to some realistic problems, such as, portfolio selection problems, inventory problems, and so on.

Abstract:To objectively evaluate the influence of hesitant fuzziness on the ranking of alternatives in multi-attribute decision making with hesitant fuzzy or probabilistic hesitant fuzzy information, the binary connection number of set pair analysis is applied to hesitant fuzzy multi-attribute decision making. The hesitant or probabilistic hesitant fuzzy set is transformed to the binary connection number. A hesitant fuzzy multi-attribute decision making model based on binary connection number is then established. Binary connection number theory is utilized to obtain the hesitant fuzzy center and decision-making suggestions about the alternative ranking under different hesitant fuzzy conditions. Experimental examples show that the hesitant fuzzy multi-attribute decision making model based on binary connection number has a certain versatility. It can determine the optimal scheme under the influence of hesitant fuzziness on the alternative ranking and contains the results of the same hesitant fuzzy decision-making problem using other methods, which helps in targeted decision making according to different hesitant fuzzy conditions.

Abstract:Combining the group decision-making analysis with fuzzy set analysis, the evaluation of decision-making program for decision makers was clearly expressed by introducing fuzzy relative membership matrix, and a fuzzy group decision-making algorithm was established. It facilitates to assemble the views, and enhances the acceptability of the final results, to make the target of multi- objective group decision-making to achieve satisfactory results.

Abstract: Since the fuzzy set was initialized by Zadeh [356], it has been applied to many fields. Later, many scholars proposed the concept of two-fold uncertain variables, combined fuzzy variables, and random variables. Two different definitions from different perspectives have been proposed. The first comes from Kwakernaak [180], who coined the term “fuzzy random variable” and who regarded that a fuzzy random variable is a random variable whose value is not real, but fuzzy number. Since Kruse and Meyer [176] worked on an expanded version of a similar model, they are often mentioned with as Kwakernaak. The second comes from Puri and Ralescu [256] who regarded fuzzy random variables as random fuzzy sets. Once again, because of Klement et al. [162], and other collaborations, these three authors often are jointly credited with the second definition. In this chapter, we mainly take Kwakernaak’s point and regard it as a random fuzzy variable (Abbr. Ra-Fu variable) which has been renamed by some scholars [32, 209, 236, 341] in order to avoid the confusion. It has been widely extended to many fields. Xu and Liu [341] discussed a class of supply chain networks optimal problems with random fuzzy shipping costs and customer demand, and proposed a random fuzzy multi-objective mixed-integer non-linear programming model to gain an optimal strategy. Xu and He [339] provided an auxiliary programming model of the random fuzzy programming, converted it to a deterministic mixed 0–1 integer programming model, of which the solutions are proved to exist and showed its efficiency by application to a supply chain problem. Zhou and Xu [363] discussed a class of integrated logistics network models under random fuzzy environments and applied them to a Chinese beer company.

Abstract:Type-2 fuzzy sets (T2FSs) have the advantage of representing higher-order uncertainty, they have shown excellent performance in system modeling. However, complexity in mathematical expressions and fundamental operations restricts their application in multi-criteria decision-making. To address this issue, a new representation method for T2FSs is first proposed, and the concepts of double, single discrete T2FSs and single continuous T2FSs are introduced, respectively. Further, the fundamental operations, ranking method and decision-making interpretations for double discrete T2FSs are studied, and the axiomatic framework of fuzzy entropy and distance measure for double discrete T2FSs are also defined. Finally, the technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution method in type-2 fuzzy environment is developed, and the practicability and effectiveness of the proposed definition and decision-making method are illustrated by validity tests and comparative analyses.

Abstract:：The multiobjective many-person decision making is an important research area.Some effective decision making methods have been presented. But there is less investigation on multiobjective many-person decision making problems with index values and weights of fuzzy numbers .This paper studies such multiobjective many-person decision making problems,defines relative difference distances by using the concept of relative positive and negative ideal alternatives,and establishes a fuzzy optimum seeking model and method.This method proves feasible and effective with evaluation of a battle plan and may give an alternative to military decision making and decision making support system.

Abstract:To denote the quantitative and qualitative fuzzy information simultaneously, this paper introduces a new type of fuzzy sets called uncertain linguistic hesitant fuzzy sets, which are denoted by an uncertain linguistic variable with several possible interval membership degrees. Considering the application of this type of fuzzy sets, several basic operational laws are defined, and several properties are studied. Meanwhile, an ordered relationship is introduced. Then, two types of uncertain linguistic hesitant fuzzy aggregation operators are defined. One uses additive measures, and the other is based on -fuzzy measures. Then, a similarity measure is presented, by which models for the optimal weight vector are constructed. After that, an approach to uncertain linguistic hesitant fuzzy multi-attribute decision making is developed. Finally, an illustrative example for evaluating corporate environmental performance is offered to show the concrete practicality of the procedure.

Abstract:A new solution to the multi objective decision making problem with qualitative variables is developed based on the fuzzy control principle. In this method, by fuzzification of the objective values and weight, the fuzzy inference and defuzzification process are employed to evaluate each alternative, and further to implement the multi objective decision making. Finally, the practicability and effectiveness of the solution are verified by a case study.

Abstract:The method for decision-making system that derives from the combination of rough sets and fuzzy sets has been presented, discussing a multicriteria classification that differs from usual classification problems, the main change is the substitution of the indiscernibility relation by a dominance relation. Proposing the idea of fuzzy dominance relation for decision-making, and the concept of L-fuzzy set is given. It builds up a rough approximation of upward and downward cumulated sets by fuzzy dominance relation.

Abstract:The decision-theoretic rough set model based on Bayesian decision theory proposes a framework for studying rough set approximations using probabilistic theory, it has become an important research direction of rough set theory. In order to extend the theory of decision-theoretic rough set, this article is devoted to studying the fuzzy decision-theoretic rough set model in type-2 fuzzy conditional information systems. The type-2 fuzzy similarity relations are induced though computing the measure of similarity between objects for each attribute. Then, we use intersection operation of type-2 fuzzy sets to aggregate the multiple induced fuzzy similarity relations. Next, a fuzzy decision-theoretic rough set approach for type-2 fuzzy conditional information systems is proposed by means of inclusion degree of type-2 fuzzy sets. Finally, an example is considered to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method, which is helpful for applying these theories to deal with practical issues.

Abstract:Molodtsov’s soft set theory is a newly emerging mathematical tool to handle uncertainty. However, the classical soft sets are not appropriate to deal with imprecise and fuzzy parameters. This paper aims to extend the classical soft sets to hesitant fuzzy soft sets which are combined by the soft sets and hesitant fuzzy sets. Then, the complement, “AND”, “OR”, union and intersection operations are defined on hesitant fuzzy soft sets. The basic properties such as DeMorgan’s laws and the relevant laws of hesitant fuzzy soft sets are proved. Finally, with the help of level soft set, the hesitant fuzzy soft sets are applied to a decision making problem and the effectiveness is proved by a numerical example.

Abstract:The importance of research on multi-objective optimum decision-making problem using fuzzy logical approaches is prominent and recognized. To improve the efficiency and feasibility of fuzzy optimization in multi-objectives systems, we propose a new evaluated fuzzy algorithm, synthetically considering the qualitative and quantitative objectives. By converting the quantitative objectives into proper relative memberships and evaluating the qualitative objectives with pairwise contrast, we get the evaluations for each objective and a new method based on the principle of fuzzy pattern recognition. With the global evaluation obtained, the fuzzy pattern recognition is developed to get a global evaluation model for all objectives. The results of applying the algorithm to evaluate the credibility of enterprise show that the algorithm is feasible and efficient. And also, this method could be applied to social administration decision and eliminate the subjectivism, one-sidedness and empiricism in them.

Abstract:In this paper, we investigate the fuzzy multi-attribute decision making problems in which the information provided by the decision maker is expressed as the hybrid fuzzy decision matrix where each of the elements is expressed by intuitionistic fuzzy number, interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy number and fuzzy linguistic labels. By using the transformation relationships of fuzzy linguistic labels and triangular fuzzy numbers, we first change the fuzzy linguistic labels in the hybrid fuzzy decision matrix into the corresponding triangular fuzzy numbers, and then define the hybrid fuzzy ideal solution (HFIS) and the hybrid fuzzy negative ideal solution (HFNIS). Based on the HFNIS, the HFNIS and some distance measures, we propose a simple and straightforward method to rank and select the given alternatives. Finally we illustrate the method with a practical example.
MULTI PERSON DECISION MAKING PROBLEM USING GENERALIZED MIXTURE OPERATORS

Abstract:Many classes of objects encountered in the physical world do not have precisely defined data. Making a decision when faced with several alternatives which initially appear equally good or desirable can be time consuming and often painful process. To overcome this difficulty Bellman and Zadeh [2] introduced fuzzy decision making theory. Later it served as a point of departure for most of the models in fuzzy decision making (FDM). One of the best summaries of why “fuzzy theory*’ is useful in decision making is given by Yager [81]. Wang [75] applied the concept of agentbased control for networked systems in control theory. There are different FDM models, they are either one stage decision making or multi stage decision making. Some of the fuzzy models in one stage decision making are fuzzy multiperson decision making models , fuzzy multi criteria decision making etc.,. Fuzzy dynamic systems models, fuzzy dynamic programming models are multi stage decision models.

A Three-Way Decision Model Based On Intuitionistic Fuzzy Decision Systems

Abstract:The similarity degree and divergence degree between intuitionistic fuzzy objects are defined respectively, and the related properties are presented in this paper. Then, we define the (alpha, beta)-level cutsets based on intuitionistic fuzzy similarity relation under decision objective circumstances. Moreover, the upper and lower approximation sets of objective sets are derived by utilizing the defined rough membership function. Some properties of the derived upper and lower approximations are discussed, and a ranking method for intuitionistic fuzzy numbers is proposed. According to Bayesian decisions, an intuitionistic fuzzy three-way decision-theoretic model and a rule induction algorithm based on intuitionistic fuzzy decision systems are constructed. Finally, a numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Abstract:Recently, the notion of a three-way fuzzy set is presented, inspired by the basic ideas of three-way decision and various generalized fuzzy sets, including lattice-valued fuzzy sets, partial fuzzy sets, intuitionistic fuzzy sets, etc. As the new theory of uncertainty, it has been used in attribute reduction and as a new control method for the water level. However, as an extension of a three-way decision, this new theory has not been used in multi-criteria decision making (MCDM for short). Based on the previous work, in this paper, we present rough set models based on three-way fuzzy sets, which extend the existing fuzzy rough set models in both complete and incomplete information systems. Furthermore, the new models are used to solve the issue of MCDM. Firstly, three-way fuzzy relation rough set and three-way fuzzy covering rough set models are presented for complete and incomplete information systems. Because almost all existing fuzzy rough set models are proposed under complete information, the new proposed models can be seen as a supplement to these existing models. Then, a relationship between the three-way fuzzy relation rough set and the three-way fuzzy covering rough set is presented. Finally, a novel method for the issue of MCDM is presented under the novel three-way fuzzy rough set models, which is used in paper defect diagnosis.
Dual intuitionistic fuzzy sets and its application in group decision making

Abstract:Several extensions of fuzzy sets have been proposed in the literature, such as intuitionistic fuzzy sets, interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy sets, hesitant fuzzy sets and dual hesitant fuzzy sets. In this paper, we set up dual intuitionistic fuzzy sets (DIFS), encompassing all the above fuzzy sets as special cases. Then we investigate the basic operations and properties of DIFS, and propose an extension principle of DIFS. Finally, a practical example about multicriteria group decision making problem is given to verify our results.

Abstract:Multiple attribute decision making theories based on Vague set are reviewed and introduced.Concerning of the shortcomings of existing research methods,a multi-stage fuzzy multiple attribute decision making method based on Vague set is proposed.Basic steps and implementation processes of the method are detailedly presented.Through multi-stage filtering of decision programs,the best decision is gotten,and the method effectively overcomes the common seen failure problem of various Vague set sorting functions.Numerical experiment shows that the method has good solving ability,and it provides a new way to solve fuzzy multiple attribute decision making problems based on Vague set.
