Abstract:The Party of Mu was a political group in the later period of Dao Guang,the core members were Mu Zhang'e, Qi Shan,Yi Libu,Qi Ying and Ne Ejing'e.They reached compromises with the Western Powers and discriminated a- gainst those who held different views.During the period of the Party,the administration of officials was corrupt.The governance of it accelerated the dying process of Qing dynasty.

Abstract:Guanhua (official language), Guoyu (national language), and Putonghua (common language) are generally regarded as different names for the same thing in different eras, but from the perspective of cultural history, there are many subtle semantic differences between these three concepts, symbolizing how different social classes and political groups defined their particular experiences, expectations, and efforts to take action. Guoyu, which replaced Guanhua in the late Qing Dynasty, is closely bound up with the construction of modern nationalism. In the 1930s, leftist intellectuals imbued Putonghua with strong proletariat attributes and overtones of indigenous and ethnic equality, wielding it as a tool for critiques against Guoyu. Although Putonghua returned to certain key positions of Guoyu after the mid-1950s, it putatively emphasized the legacy of the leftist language movement, and represented a new political identity. Through these proper names for the standard language, it was possible not only to launch a political and social revolution, but also to smooth over the historical rifts that this engendered, by repeatedly revising the concepts of written and standard to form a linear national narrative.

Abstract:The Linqing Incident was an uproar over a spike in prices in October 1948 caused by panic buying of cotton by government owned stores in liberated areas of North China.This incident fully exposed imbalances in many areas of the transition from the Resistance War against Japan's distributed model of management to support the demands of massive warfare during the War of Liberation,including the market management system,monetary and financial policies,the distribution of profits among various departments and the effectiveness of organizational discipline.After the incident,it was subject to a complex and systematic process of disclosure,self-criticism,truth discovery and summation,including internal reports,public reports in the media,and inspection conferences in all related departments.Finally,the nature of the incident was determined by an editorial by the Xinhua News Agency.After the nature of the Linqing incident was determined,interpretive guidance replaced historical truth to a certain extent,emphasizing the leadership of state-operated commerce and the necessity of administrative intervention in the new state,and the dangerous nature of capitalist economic factors,particularly private commercial capital.This interpretation became the public stance of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party before and after the September Conference and laid the ideological foundations for the Second Plenary Session of the Seventh Chinese Communist Party Central Committee.

Abstract:During its last ten years,the Qing court embarked on comprehensive reforms of unprecedented speed and extent,and took no obviously oppressive or "unjust" actions.Nevertheless,a revolution broke out in China and succeeded quickly and with little difficulty.We should have a deeper understanding,analysis and interpretation of the transition from monarchy to republic,the "greatest change in five thousand years." The cross-the-board incursion of imperialism led to an unprecedented upheaval in the Chinese power framework.The new paradigm of competition between China and foreign countries confronted the court and the people with the necessity of fundamental reforms of political orientation,political structure and political ethics.A political pattern of small government which had lasted for thousands of years was forced onto a new road where government action was brought to the fore in pursuit "prosperity and power," and the crisis the system faced made the New Policies seem self-destructive.Furthermore,because political ethics could not change as swiftly as political institutions,the political system's transformation sunk into even deeper crisis.Finally,political transformation had to give way to revolution,which the Chinese people regarded more agile and more effective.

Abstract:Pinglujun was an army deeply hulized. After the rebellion of Anlushan,the part of the Pinglujun which still kept fealty to the Tang dynasty broke into two parts: the Hulized knight clique and the Kogoryo knight clique. They brought the culture of Hu into the central China when they came into this area. So the area of Huaixi took on a serious tendency of Huhua. But the tendency of Huhua was different between Huaixi and Ziqing. When the tendency of Huhua in Huaixi became more and more serious, the tendency of Huhua in Ziqing was becoming lighter and lighter.

In the last years of the Qing Dynasty, the four movements happened subsequently, i.e., “the movement of using the barbarians’ skills to deal with barbarians”, “the movement of enforcing the army and enriching the country”, “the movement of carrying out constitutional reforms” and “the movement of enlightening people”. Abstract:Underground party organizations were a unique and important force from the 1920s through the 1940s in the CCP's conduct of the revolution and founding of the People's Republic of China. Republican China was complex and diverse,and so the underground party organizations varied greatly. Located on the periphery of the CCP's revolutionary territory,Hui County in Gansu Province was cross-cut with political,social,regional,ethnic and cultural confrontations. The birth,survival and development of the underground party organization in Hui county was distinctive,and depended on a strong social network for its existence and development. In particular,the emergence of"an honest and upright official,"Liu Zhongren made the survival and development of the underground party organization in Hui county possible,and also provides us with good materials to explore the complicated interactions between the underground party organization and the ruling Party,between political power and society.

Abstract:The process that Jiangnan,Huguang and Shaanxi Provinces were divided into two provinces respectively was a key of the changes of local administrative system and administrative divisions in the Qing Dynasty.After scrutinous study of Da Qing Hui Dian compiled in the Kangxi-reign and Qianlong-reign periods on the partition of Jiangnan and other provinces,this article has reconstructed this gradual change which began in the 18th year of the Shunzhi-reign period(1661A.D.)and ended in the 6th year of the Kangxi-reign period(1667A.D.).It's also a process from old system to new system.It goes further to discuss the reasons for the long existence of the names of Jiangnan Province,Huguang Province and those provinces even after they had been divided into two provinces.

Abstract:The Shuzhuang Poetry Club matched evenly with the South Society in Shanghai in the aspects such as developing scale,existing time,writing achievement,impetus and influence,etc.However,since they had different social and historic backgrounds that formed themselves,different members and their attitude tendencies,different purposes of organization,requirements of revolution,orientations of culture,inheritances of poetic art,added into the affection of other factors for example organizational shape,operating mechanism,expenses source,and so on.the two organizations presented completely different developing views finally.Essentially,the South Society in Shanghai was a literature organization of nationalism revolution which "revolted the Qing Dinasty and repelled Manchu" at the end of the Qing Dinasty and at the beginning of the Republic of China,and the Shuzhuang Poetry Club was a literature organization that loved homeland but went into exiling on mainland,which "revolted Japan and recovered Taiwan" during the Period of Japan Occupying Taiwan.They respectively contained specific social connotation and unique historic significance.

Abstract:China’s encounter with the West in mid-nineteenth century set off changes that had “not been seen for three thousands years”. These changes, including the Opium War, and later, the First Sino-Japanese War, jolted the Qing dynasty onto a course of modernization and ushered in China’s near-modern history. China’s defeats in the wars set the tone for the period of history, which to this day is still remembered with much bitterness. But imperialism and colonialism were not all the enemies that China faced; a stronger foe was feudalism from its own past. Together, the two forces defined the objectives of China’s modernization: national survival, people’s liberation and individual wellbeing. In comparison, the West, which experienced the same process centuries before, shared similar yet different objectives in their own modernization: individual liberty, nation state and citizen’s wellbeing.

Abstract:It is the 70 th anniversary of the Chinese Anti-Japanese War victory this year,also the 90 th anniversary of the establishment of Chinese Zhi-Gong Party.Around the war,Chinese Zhi-Gong Party had inherited and carried forward traditional culture,with making theoretical interpretation about "Chinese Socialism",which had earlier indicated Chinese characteristics direction for ideology construction.Regarding to the theoretical innovation about "historical creator" and internationalism had promoted the development of Marxism in China Objectively.Through the appeal and promotion for democracy,Chinese Zhi-Gong Party had assimilated itself into the neo—democracy system.In the process,although the Chinese Zhi-Gong Party didn’ t directly initiate or construct localization of Marxism in China,it had been the active promoter and stanch practitioners at least.In this sense,Chinese Zhi-Gong Party is also an important member of the historical system of Marxism in China.

Abstract:For all an era of domination under the Manchu immigrants Qing history is recognized as a part of Chinese history with a scheme of “unitary multi-national state.” Beyond the traditional Hanhwa idea, which refers to Sinicization of non-Han groups, this involves a new idea of historical formation of the ‘Chinese Nation’ out of historical unifying process of Han and non- Han ethnic groups including Manchus. The Qing fashioned its national identity as a ruling group through a unique organization called the Palgi (Eight Flags) system, and assumed the leadership of broad nomad area from Manchuria to Central Asia. The Qing also constructed a governance system in China where majority of population was Han Chinese based on the traditional Chinese culture. However, the problem of the Palgi system became salient through the Opium War and the Taiping rebellion, and the Qing Dynasty formed a virtual Manch-Han coalition government for its modernization push through the Yangwu and the Bianfa movements. Yet, the coalition regime collapsed by the revolution of 1911. The new republic promoted the “Five Nation Republic” scheme, which included various non- Chinese groups within the Qing Empire as its citizens. This was not because the Han and non-Han ethnic groups had a common identity as the “Chinese people,” but because they wanted to form the territory of the new Republic following the broad areas of Qing Empire. The problem is that the scheme accepts those non-Han ethnic groups on the Sinicization premise which supposes full cultural enlightenment of Chinese authenticity, and denies the political recognition that they got under the Qing Empire. This means that the framework of China’s “unitary multi-national state” needs close review process.

Abstract:This article holds the different views about the Gao Pingling Coup,which differs from the views of Chen Yinque's book Shi Zhong Huizhuan four literary section after completion of the beginning and Mr. Wang's Biography of Wang Bi.There is neither obvious dispute about politics behind the evolution in Wei and Jin Dynasties,nor the struggle over ideology and culture behind the Gao Pingling Coup.This reveals that Confucianism has accumulated and bred the main part of Chinese culture,both political and ideological culture,after nearly four hundred years' official ideology of Confucianism throughout the Han Dynasties. Therefore,both parties of the Gao Pingling Coup have more similarities than differences in the political and ideological culture.

Abstract:Through a formal analysis of this seminar work of Lu Xun, the author observes that the narrative and dramatic motivation of Ah Q-The Real Story is an intense yet futile search for a proper name and identity within a system of naming and identity-formation as the system, by default, repels the identity-seeking and "homecoming" effort of the sign in question ("Ah Q"). Based on this observation, the author goes on to argue that the origin of Chinese modernism lies in a highly political awareness of one's loss of cultural belonging and thus one's collective alienation from the matrix of tradition and indeed existence. Departing from conventional reading of this work, often anchored in sociopolitical interpretations of class, nation, and group psychology centered on the "critique of national characteristics" discourse, this article maintains that the true ambition and literary energy of Lu Xun's masterpiece can only be fully grasped when one confronts this epic cultural-political struggle to regain a cultural system's power and legitimation to name one's own existence and define one's own value.
