Government's Responsibility in the Process of Chinese Colleges and Universities' De-administration

Abstract:Since the founding of New China,there are countless ties of affiliation relation between universities and the government.The government is the only master of universities,and makes possible administrative attachment of the university dominated by the government,resulting in the problem of administrative alienation of the development of Chinese universities.In the process of the sixty-year development of Chinese universities,the government has implemented a number of reforms concerning university administration,but to date,all the reforms have not yet broken through the administrative attachment of universities.In the current status of calling for de-administration,the government should examine its responsibility closely,support the healthy development of colleges and universities by making long-term policies and providing corresponding institutional safeguard and environmental conditions and help the institutions of higher learning realize their true sense by democracy and law.
