Abstract:College teachers are the main force in education reforms.The social transformation and educational reform have given rise to a growing pressure for college teachers,whose health condition has turned into a public health and social issue.Physical activity,as a key force in health promotion,serves as an effective measure in improving the health status of college teachers.This paper reviews the factors influencing college teachers' physical activity level from the perspectives of demographics,individual and environment.Besides,suggestions on how to improve college teachers' physical status are given in this paper.

Abstract:Nowadays the educational system needs to update itself to meet with the ever-changing society and Physical Education is with no exception.In regard to that,the article studies and analyses the present teaching practicing system of PE majors in college schools and mainly suggests that colleges should attach importance to the students' social practice and teachers' quality and at meantime colleges also should take some measures to improve working efficiency,make full use of teaching periods and combine teaching content and its form in a more reasonable way to build a proper and feasible teaching practicing system of PE majors.

Abstract:Based on the methods of literature,interview and logic analysis,this paper studies the notion of traditional physical education mode and analyzes its deficiencies and development.In addition,it also states that the new teaching mode should attach importance to not only the imparting of knowledge,but also to the cultivating of non-intelligential factors.Teachers’ evaluation should be combined with students’ evaluation and diagnostic evaluation should be combined with formative evaluation and conclusive evaluation.We should stress both students’ subjectivity and teachers’ guiding function.Teachers should renew their knowledge constantly and try to attract students with their notable spiritual appearance and their characteristics.They should make use of science and technology properly,take in others’ advantages to make up for their own deficiencies,learn from each other and integrate with each other.

Abstract:Using the methods of literature,questionnaire and expert interview,this article analyses the present situation of PE teachers in 13 independent colleges in Nanjing city and puts forward some advice on improvement of physical education teachers of independent colleges.The research results show that the number of full-time teachers can not meet the needs of independent college sports teaching;the title structure is low; the level of scientific research of primary;part-time teacher personnel mobility,poor stability.Increasing the number of full-time teachers,improving their scientific research level and going out to participate in training or academic exchange activities are the important ways to optimize the structure of teachers and improve the teaching level.

Continuing Professional Development for Physical Education Teachers in China: Basis for Teaching Enhancement Program

Abstract:In pursuit of life-long learning, the teaching profession requires continuing education for institutional promotion, salary increase, and administrative position. Supportive academic institutions increase their teacher’s professional learning in the 21st century to increase their students’ further education and work as well. China consistently invested in their teachers’ professional development but empirical evidence on these programs’ effectivity is limited. Specifically, there is a demand for more quality professional development (PD) opportunities for PE teachers focused on the following reasons: (a) the education standards movement, (b) professional organizations, and (c) a call for research on teaching. Apparently, in China, most of them have not recognized their leading role and undervalued their educational career. Thus, this study revisited the impact of the PD programs in China focusing focus its lens on the continuing professional development (CPD) of physical education teachers to address the urgent call to improve the PE-CPD. Guided by the global Continuing Professional Development (CPD) framework, this study investigated the continuing professional development provided to physical education teachers in China and the results of this investigation would be the basis for their teaching enhancement program. The findings revealed that most of the PE teachers in China were male, middle aged with relative bachelor’s degree and permanent position, and developing teachers with 1-10 years teaching experience. They partly considered their involvement in skill development opportunities and interaction and collaboration, but highly considered their involvement in personal growth and reflection in their continuing professional development. Their level of involvement in continuing professional development were significantly different considering their age, sex, educational attainment, and years of teaching. Moreover, the found professional development about classroom management very effective and impactful but teaching practices about ICT skills has minimal effectiveness. However, there is a significant difference in the evaluation of PE teachers on the effectivity of the professional development when they are grouped according to their age, educational attainment, and years of teaching. Nevertheless, the significant relationship found between the their involvement in professional development (PD) and evaluation on the effectivity of the professional development became the basis for the strategic factors to be integrated in the teaching enhancement program for the CPD of PE teachers in the new normal.

Abstract:This study used literature searches,interviews,onsite inspections,mathematical statistics,logical analy-sis,multidisciplinary teams and personnel training,to research the conditions of University Sports and analyze theproblems in College Sport Education. The study found confusion among supporting teachers due to the lack of stand-ardization in postgraduate training and a mismatch between modern scientific sports theory and current practice. Therelationship between contemporary university and college sports development is discussed with reference to socialbackground and course objectives. Suggested options to optimize the development of college sports include:reformingacademic methods of Sports Education,optimizing constructive goals of sports courses,restructuring academic organ-izations and personnel training,improving course structure and cultivating talented individuals. By incorporating sci-entific developments into the conventional way of thinking Chinese Physical Education can continue to develop suc-cessfully and grow sustainably into the future.

Abstract:Through literature survey, questionnaire survey and other methods, this paper studies and analyzes the influence of PE teaching quality on students' learning satisfaction and the existing problems, hoping to understand the current situation of students' satisfaction with PE courses in Guangdong University of Science and Technology, find out the existing problems, and analyze the main factors affecting PE curriculum satisfaction in Guangdong University of Science and Technology. It provides a basis for Guangdong University Science and Technology to optimize the learning and teaching level of PE courses, and provides a certain experience and theoretical basis for promoting the deepening reform of physical education courses in Chinese universities.
