Abstract:Active components of Cinnamomum camphora seeds were extracted using ethanol as the solvent and analyzed by GC-MS.Several components were indentified,of which Camphor (39.5 %),Linalool(12.99 %),Caryophyllene(9.1 %),Ethyl laurate(6.51 %),Copaene(4.93 %),Eugenol methylether(4.75 %),Safrole(3.09 %),Isoledene(2.82 %),γ-Guaiene(2.81 %),γ-Elemene (2.66 %),γ-Muurolene(2.41) were the main compounds.The antimicrobial activities of the extracts were measured through mycelia growth method and spores germination method aganinst the five following five microbes: Trichoderma viride,Saccharomyces cerevisiae,Aspergillus niger,Fomes ligneus and Bacillus subtilis.Among which,the inhibitory activities of the extracts against the mycelia growth of Trichoderma viride and Aspergillus niger were significant,whereas they had little such activity against Bacillus subtilis,Fomes ligneus and Saccharomyces cerevisiae.The inhibitory activity against spores germination of Aspergillus niger were the most significant,and the least against Fomes ligneus.However,the inhibitory activities against the mycelia growth and spores germination of the five microbes increased with the higher extracts concentration.
