Investigation and Analysis of Child Behaviors and Family Environment Factors in Huangshi City

Abstract:Objectives Provide instructions for the children with abnormal behavior and put forward evidences and opinions through investigating the current situation of 6 to16-year-old children's behavioral problems in Huangshi urban areas and exploring the conventional family factors affecting children's psychological behavior.Methods Apply the Child Behavior Checklist to assess 2 275 children's behavioral problems in Huangshi.And apply self-designed questionnaire to learn about the general family environment.Results According to 6 to 11-year-old Children Behavior Checklist survey results,male children were more hyperactive and aggressive than female children,while female children had better social and practical ability and were easier to get depressed.Differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Among 12 to 16-year-old children,female children had better social and practical ability and were easier to get depressed.Differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).However as they grow older,the difference between male children and female children in hyperactivity factor and aggressiveness was not statistically significant(P>0.05).From the perspective of family influence,the parents played an important role in children's behavioral problems:the more attention they were paid to,the better their body and psychology would develop.Conclusions With the development of children's physical and mental level,the family tends to have a more obvious influence on children's hyperactivity,learning ability,social ability and other problems appeared in their process of learning.
