Abstract:Studied in accordance with computer vision system, this article puts forward the major problems existing in the hardware embodying levels of vision system. Then it explores new ideas in resolving these problems, and puts forward a vision processing system based on FPGA in the need of stereo vision system. As FPGA can be reconstructed freely, it can take charge of some computing work to strengthen the real time issue of visual processing. The system can be well applied to 3-D stereo vision system as a front-end graphic grabbing device and co-processor.

Abstract:In the past few years, there has been significant progress in the communications and computer technology, which requires stable, clear video image display. On the other hand, conventional analog video processing method, due to its intrinsic limitations, can not meet the requirement of high quality and high speed operation. Meanwhile, the digital video processing technique that integrates with the computer technology is growing rapidly. In this paper, we introduce the art of FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) that has been widely used for video signal processing, and develop the video signal acquisition and processing system that based on FPGA, thereby achieve real-time video signal acquiring, processing, and transferring.

Abstract:The 2D to 3D conversion technique plays an important role in the development and promotion of three-dimensional television (3DTV), because it can provide adequate supply of high-quality 3D program content. This Paper focuses on the real-time implementation of 2D-3D system, of which the major parts are source depth-map generation and depth image-based rendering (DIBR). The depth-map is generated by multi-depth cues, according to the types of the 2D scene, including luminance and color, visual saliency and adaptive depth models. Then the original 2D image or video is converted to stereoscopic one by DIBR with the depth map. The proposed system is accelerated by being designed in new hardware architecture on FPGA. Our method is verified on various sequences and experiment results show that, the system can achieve 30 frames per second for processing full HD (1920×1080) video on Xilinx Virtex IV XC4VSX25 while the resulting image or video is both realistic and visual pleasing.

Abstract:A real-time video image processing system is presented.In this system,FPGA is used as a main logic control unit and data buffering,and DSP processes image data.The main architecture of the system is introduced,and several parts are discussed in detail,such as transformation from RGB color dimension to YCbCr,video data buffering,and access to dual port RAM by DSP and FPGA alternatively.And image compressing with DSP is introduced at the end.With the implementation of the system,we can find that the video processing system can work flexible and adaptive with the control of FPGA,which also providse great facility of debugging.

Abstract:A design scheme of Video Processing Module based on processor TMS320DM642 is introduced in this paper.The required functionality and the hardware implementation methods are described in detail. TMS320DM642 has excellent performance and considerable on-chip peripheral resources.By making full use of its advantages,a system has been built,which can code two composite videos simultaneously,and decode one network video.The module supports MPEG-4 and H.264 video coding and decoding standard widely used in the industry world.This design scheme can provide a general hardware platformfor the software engineers and can be used in various application domains.

Abstract:Real-time digital video surveillance systems are used in many fields, such as banks, buildings and supermarkets. The core part of system is a video multiplexer. In this paper, a novel hardware design of real-time duplex digital sixteen-picture processor is implemented with only one FPGA chip. Functions of the real-time digital video multiplexer include picture dividing/joining, video motion detection and video playback. Abstract:The design of a kind of video processor with the function of auto-focusing is introduced in this paper. The video processor receives digital 8-bit YCbCr video signal. With a piece of DDR2 SDRAM as frame buffer, the video processor realizes the function of format conversion, frame up-scaling and color space conversion. The paper proposes an improved gray scale differential auto-focus algorithm and calculates the focus value of the current image real-timely. Applying the mountain climbing searching strategy to control the moving of the focus motor, and realize the function of auto-focusing. The whole design is realized in VHDL and verified with Xilinx XUPV5-LX110T FPGA developing board.

Abstract:Design and realization methods of video image acquisition processing systems based on DSP and CPLD are presented. The system hardware platform consists of a video decoder, a programmable logic device, a digital signal processor, and other devices. The principle and the structure of video image processing are discussed. TVP5150 video decoder is adopted to acquire video signal and data stream, and XC95144XL-CPLD device is configured for system logic control. TMS320VC5416 processor, processing algorithms and software are used for digital image processing. Finally, the video image acquisition, storage and transmission, edge detection and sharpening are implemented. The results show the validity and feasibility of the video image processing system.

Abstract:A video processing model is presented which is designed for real-time stereoscopic display system based on Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA). The system makes use of image parallax theory and combines some high speed system design technologies. The hardware platform includes image acquisition, processing and display parts. Viewers need a pair of stereo glasses to experience stereoscopic display technology. This design is verified and has some applicable fields. It features real-time, low-cost and easy-feasibility and fills in a gap of displaying high definition timely stereoscopic image with high refresh rate Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) panel.

Abstract:A kind of video accessing and real-time display system,based on CMOS image sensor and designed to collect image and display it in real time,is developed with detailed circuit and software design.This system selects IBIS5-B-1300 as its image collecting chip,and BT856 as its digital encoder which converts digital video data from CMOS image sensor into the composite video signals compatible with analog monitor in real time,achieving the goal of high-speed image acquisition and real-time display.Finally the results given by experiment show that the system is credible in collecting image,meanwhile sharing the frame rates of 50fps both in image collecting and real-time display,finally shooting the goal of high-speed video acquisition and real-time monitorg.

Abstract:This paper shows the design and implementation of a video capturing and processing system, which can collect plate-profile information and process image in the spatial domain. Strategy of buffer storage is used in the collecting part; read and write two SRAM at the same time to improve the data throughput. In the processing part using Synchronous FIFO to implement sliding window whose function is to filter image in spatial domain. In the tests, using this system to process plate-profile information gets good result; frame rate can reach 25fps, also meet the need of real-time requirements and have much more obvious advantages than processing image by software programming. © 2010 IEEE.

Abstract:In this paper, we propose a system-on-chip software hardware co-design for a statistical decoder. We use the context-based adaptive binary arithmetic decoder (CABAC decoder) used in the High profile of the H.264/AVC video coding standard as a design example. The design is aimed to strike a balance between software modules and hardware modules based on design constraints. It is capable of decoding one bin per clock cycle at high clock frequencies while maintaining a slim hardware footprint. Compared to existing statistical decoders, this design is aimed for a fast and compact IP core, well verified with standard video test sequence, and ideal for a SoC implementation.

Abstract:For the special requirements of the image transmission in Infrared Search and Track Systems,a design and implementation process of a FPGA-based Network Video Sampling System have been proposed.In order to realize real-time infrared image acquisition in the system,FPGA was used as the core processor,together with STM32 and other peripheral control chips.Compared with the existing video acquisition system,this system has high stability,long distance transmission,large transmission data rate,and short transmission delay.

Abstract:A design and implementation method of H.264/AVC encoder based on mixed structure is introduced,in which DSP is used as a main processor and FPGA as an assistant processor to accelerate arithmetic by hardware. In order to meet required real-time performance,hardware engine is designed for the most complicated and time-consuming module. According to the engine,it constitutes a software and hardware communication agreement,which makes control and data transporting easily,and realizes the real-time performances which H.264/AVC D1 coder needs.

Abstract:To address the issue of online annotation problem of real-time video image system,a kind of video image overlay system based on serial communication of FPGA was designed on the basis of EP4CE115F29C7N high performance processing chip, serial communication of RS232 and VGA display technology. In this paper,the design of hardware structure of serial communication module and VGA display module were mainly described. It also introduced the work flow and software of the serial control. Through the test,the system works stably and reliably,which also achieves the expected effect in the practical engineering test.

Abstract:An embedded system which is used to acquire and process the high speed video frequency image is proposed in this paper. The main controller of this system is based on Altera Cyclone FPGA. The FPGA takes charge of acquiring and transmitting the image data to the memory and DSP. The Synchronous FSM (Finite State Machine) and Pingpong Control technique are proposed in the system design. The verilog-HDL is used for programming. By using the Altera FPGA as the controller, the system can run at a high frequency and this system has a wide usage in many domains.

Abstract:We propose an onboard image real-time processing system based on FPGA, it includes onboard image receiving and storage, image processing, data transmission, the control of CPU interface, and reliability design of the whole system. The system hardware platform consists of camera LVDS receiver chip, SDRAM buffer circuits, FPGA, CPU and satellite LVDS transmitter chip. The system has been verified in the actual satellite project such as target tracking and image compression. It has the characteristics of real-time processing, small resource occupation coefficient and high reliability.

Abstract:With the higher demand of the three dimensional (3D) imaging, a high definition real-time 3D video system based on FPGA is proposed. The system is made up of CMOS image sensors, DDR2 SDRAM, High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) transmitter and Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA). CMOS image sensor produces digital video streaming. DDR2 SDRAM buffers large amount of video data. FPGA processes the video streaming and realizes 3D data format conversion. HDMI transmitter is utilized to transmit 3D format data. Using the active 3D display device and shutter glasses, the system can achieve the living effect of real-time 3D high definition imaging. The resolution of the system is 720p@60Hz in 3D mode.
