Abstract:Objective To introduce WHO's biowaiver policy for oral generic drugs.Methods WHO revisions to the criteria for BCS classification and additional criteria for application of the biowaiver procedure are summarized.The evaluation results of biowaiver possibility of WHO Essential Medicines are presented.Results and Conclutions Biowaiver policy for oral generic drugs is issued by WHO on the basis of FDA's relative policy,which takes into consideration the three main factors(solubility,permeability,dissolution) in relation to drug absorption.It would like to work a source of inspiration.
