The Effect of Cinepazide Maleate on the Hematoma Volume and Perilesional Edema in Patients with Hypertensive Intracerebral Hemorrhage

Abstract:Objective To study the effects of the cinepazide maleate on the volume and perilesional edema of hematoma and neurological function in patients with hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage(HICH).Methods 90 cases of HICH patients were randomly divided into two groups.The control group received conventional treatment,the treatment group were given cinepazide maleate injection(160mg/d) combined with conventional therapy.The volume and perilesional edema of hematoma and Chinese Stroke Scale (CSS) were assessed respectively.Results 7d,21d after treatment,hematoma and edema volume and CSS score of the treatment group were significantly reduced compared with those of the control group(P0.05).21d after treatment,neurological function score of the treatment group was correlated to hematoma volume highly(P0.01),but wasn't to the volume of edema(P0.05).Conclusion Cinepazide maleate can improve the resolution of the hematoma and perilesional edema,also enhance neurological function in HICH patients.
