Abstract:Two-dimensional discrete Fourier transform in polar coordinate systems,which is called 2D-DPFT,has been applied in many fields such as image registration and image retrieval.However,because of no X-Y separability,the computation of DPFT has not used fast Fourier transform.In the same accurate case,Pseudo-Polar Fast Fourier Transform(PPFFT)can close to polar Fourier transform,and can be computed by fast algorithm.The principle and application of the PPFFT are introduced.Some problems about further research on application of the PPFFT are given.

The pseudo-polar fast Fourier transform and its applications
