Abstract:A large quantity of sericin exits in the wastewater drained by the producers of silk yarn and silk fabrics. Sericin, a kind of global protein, consists of different peptides that are composed of 18 kinds of amino acids. Sericin contains more serine, aspartic acid and glycine than other amino acids. The content of amino acids that have polar side chains is as high as 74.61%. Sericin is characterized by soluble and hydroscopic properties, gelation action, ability to antioxidant and possibility of structural modification. It has great potentials for utilization in the field of cosmetic, foodstuff, medicine and biological material.

Abstract:This paper discussed the preparation methods and material properties of silk fibroin fiber porous materials,regenerative silk fibroin sponge porous materials and silk fibroin non-woven nanofiber porous materials.It is believed that these materials have appropriate porous structure and excellent biocompatibility,a variety of cells from different apparatus or tissue cultured on these materials and showed attachment and proliferation.Application states of silk fibroin porous materials used in tissue engineering of artificial skin,bone,cartilage,artificial ligament and muscle tendon were summarized as a kind of nice tissue engineering scaffold material.

Abstract:In this paper, the tested methods, the used standard and the composition etc. of Maifan stone fiber are introduced, a series of basic properties are tested, and the relationship between Maifan stone Fiber structure and properties has been dealt with, a series of basic data of physical and chemical characteristics of the fiber is given. It is pointed that Maifan stone fiber is one kind of new-type functional fiber, which has good moisture absorption behavior, good permeability, natural micro organism resistance, excellent dyeing properties, higher dye-fixing percentage, better biological activity etc. When developing new type products, we must lay stress on its excellent properties, and develop the new-type product that displays the good properties of Maifan stone fiber.

Abstract:Fibers are used in many forms in engineering applications–one of the most common being used as reinforcement. Due to its renewable short natural growth cycle and abundance of bamboo resources, bamboo fiber has attracted attention over other natural fibers. Bamboo fiber has a complex natural structure but offers excellent mechanical properties, which are utilized in the textile, papermaking, construction, and composites industry. However, bamboo fibers can easily absorb moisture and are prone to corrosion limiting their use in engineering applications. Therefore, a better understanding of bamboo fiber is particularly important. This paper reviews all existing research on the mechanical characterization of bamboo fiber with an emphasis on the extraction and treatment techniques, and their effect on relevant properties. The chemical composition of bamboo fibers has also been thoroughly investigated and presented herein. Current applications and future opportunities for bamboo fibers in various fields have been presented with a focus on research needs. This work can serve as a reference for future research on bamboo fiber.

Abstract:Dairy products have become more common in people's daily diets in recent years, and numerous useful components derived from milk are widely employed in the food industry. Milk fat globule membrane (MFGM) is a kind of film that encases milk fat globules, and has been shown to have a high nutritional value. In this work, the protein, lipid, carbohydrate, and other components of MFGM are discussed, and also common separation, preparation, and analysis technologies, physicochemical properties, and functional features of MFGM are reviewed, to provide some guidance for the development and utilization of MFGM.

Abstract:To produce milk protein fiber polyurethane core-spun yarn,processing parameters of each process was optimized.Milk protein fibers were pretreated before production,low speed,big gauge,more carding & less beating,evenness blending,quick transfer,small tension were adopted in cleaning and carding process.Order draft was adopted in drawing process,bigger twister,smaller back zone draft multiple were adopted in roving process,heavy pressure,big back zone gauge,small back zone draft,small nip gauge and so on were adopted in spinning process.Through these measures,better yarn quality and evenness can be got.
