Abstract:Objective To investigate the changes and significance of peripheral blood cell parameters in type 2 diabetics micro-albuminuria.Methods 120 type 2 diabetics were selected and divided into two groups according to the excretion rate of urinary albumin, namely normo-albuminuria group (n=60), and micro-albuminuria group (n=60), 40 healthy people were choosed as control group. The parameters of peripheral blood cells, including the leucocyte count, the mean corpuscular volume (MVC),the red cell distribution width (RDW),the blood platelet count,the mean platelet volume (MPV) and the platelet distribution width(PDW) were detected in all the three groups, then the parameters mentioned above were compared among three groups by using variance analysis method.Results The parameters of peripheral blood cells mentioned about had significant differences among normo-albuminuria diabetic group, micro-albuminuria diabetic group and the control group (P0.05),Notable distinction also existed in peripheral blood cell parameters between two diabetic groups (P0.05).Conclusions The occurrence of the diabetic nephropathy relates to the leucocyte count,the erythrocyte shape and the amount and shape of blood platelets.
