Discussion about Expressway Safety Management System in China

Abstract:With the rapid the development of China's expressway network,both traffic accidents and accidents' severity increase.Through analysis of the traffic accidents data of one expressway,especially accident frequency,severity and causes,the safety management system is also an important factor of accident.The study finds that the current management mechanism and method do not meet the traffic safe operation demands.The study identifies that the management mechanism is improved by setting united administration and synthesized enforcement or special safety management group,the expressway safety management is proved by strong prohibition on exceeding speed limit,truck management,management on dangerous goods transportation,management on expressway safety facilities and other management measures,such as improveing the service,information coordination,fully utilizing traffic broadcast,etc.A series of measures are suggested in order to achieve the safety,comfortableness and fluency of expressway transportation and keep the driver,motorcycle and expressway management departments in coordination.Then,the drivers have a safety,comfortable and fast circumstance.
