Changes of Platelet Parameter and Coagulative Function in 239 Patients with Hepatitis

Abstract:Objective To observe the changes of latelet parameter and coagulative function in cirrhosis and severe hepatitis patients without bleeding. Methods Two hundred and thirty nine patients with hepatitis were grouped as acute hepatitis, chronic hepatitis, severe hepatitis,cirrhosis group and 42 healthy people were enrolled as control. Platelet count (PLT), mean Platelet volume (MPC), platelet distribution width (PDW),platelecrit (PCT) were measured by COULTER MAXM.Prothrombin time (PT), activated partial thrombokinase time (APTT) ,prothrombin activity (PTA) ,bibrinogen (FIB) were measured by sysmeX CAI500.All parameters were compared. Results The parameters of PT, APTT,FIB in acute hepatitis group, chronic hepatitis group, severe hepatitis group, cirrhosis group were worse than control (P0.05).The compare between each two groups had a significant difference (P0.05) .FIB in the severe hepatitis groups decreased greatly. PTA was different between two greatly compareed in the four groups (P0.01). Platelet parameters decreased unequally in all hepatitis patients PLT,PCT reduced obviously before bleeding in severe hepatitis and cirrhosis group.PLT, PCT and PTA had decreased synchronously and had correlation in bleeding patients with cirrhosis (r=0.46,0.37). Conclusions Platelet parameters and wagulative function have changed diversely in all hepatitis group.Platelet parameters and quantity of platelet have presented abnormality preceding bleeding in patients with cirrhosis and severe hepatitis.
