Abstract:The 9th National Traditional Games of Ethnic Minorities 2011 is to be held in Guizhou City.This is the only nationwide traditional multiethnic sport event in the world.It has grown into a considerable size after reforms in its 60 years history.In particular,the participants are skyrocketing and the competition and exhibition events are transforming greatly since China's reform and opening up.By the method of documentation,expert interview and data statistics,the paper focuses on the subject of the National Games of Ethnic Minorities and discusses the addition and submission of the competition events and proposes rational suggestions in hope of providing references to the scholars working on this initiative or researching this field.
