Abstract:Recently,many peptides have been demonstrated to be able to translocate across the plasma membrane of eukaryotic cells into cytoplasm or even nucleus by a non-classical endocytosis pathway.Their transmembrane ability is not influenced by the conjugated large molecules such as proteins and nucleic acid.These peptides can pass through blood brain barrier efficiently.Moreover,cellular delivery using these cell-penetrating peptides offers several advantages over conventional techniques because of its high permeability,low toxicity and efficient for a range of cell types,especially neurons.It has been used to protect neurons against the injury caused by central nervous system diseases.
