Effect of Rare Earth Element Lanthanum Subchronic Exposure on Peripheral Blood General Examination Index in Rat

Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of lanthanum subchronic exposure on peripheral blood cells index in rat models.Methods The Wistar rats were treated with oral exposure dose 0.1,2 and 40 mg/kg of lanthanum chloride(LaCl3) respectively,after 90 days the rats were sacrificed and the blood was collected for blood general index examination.Results There showed no significant difference among the control group and 3 dose-groups of LaCl3 exposed rats on WBC,lymphocytes(LYM) and LYM%,RBC,HGB,Hct,MCV,MCH,MCHC,RDW-SD and RDW-CV,PLT,PDW and MPV indices(P0.05).Conclusion The results indicate the lanthanum subchronic exposure shows no significant effect on blood general examination index in rat.
