Abstract:A simple semicircular-patch bandpass filter (BPF) is presented in this letter. The slot between two semicircular-patch resonators provides DC blocking and a strong coupling, while the slotted orthoganally feed lines are used to obtain the dual-mode characteristics. Measurement demonstrates the proposed design methodology and filter. As we know, this is the first report on the microstrip dual-mode BPF using semicircular-patch structure.
