Pathogenesis and CT findings of primary pulmonary fungal infection

Abstract:Primary pulmonary fungal infection occurs in immunocompetent hosts without underlying lesions. In the clinic, the most common pathogenic fungal are cryptococcus(cryptococcus neoformans) and aspergillus. Due to the increased incidence of the disease, the misdiagnosis rate and mortality, it has great clinical importance to study the clinical and CT features. By reviewing the recent domestic and overseas literatures, the definition, pathogenesis,clinical manifestations,clinical diagnosis, and CT findings of primary pulmonary fungal infection are summarized.
