Motion Precision Simulation Research of Gun Feeding Mechanical Containing Clearance

Abstract:Joint clearance is unavoidable due to the design error,manufacturing error and wearing,the motion of actual mechanism deviated from the motion of ideal mechanism because of the clearance,so the mechanism motion precision was decreased,ammunition feeding and cartridge feeding was not in position,and the reliability of ammunition feeding was affected.The center distance deviation of gear pair and the clearance at quick connector were considered,the simulation model of a ammunition feed mechanism containing clearance was established,the motion simulation was accomplished based on Adams,the effect of clearance on mechanism motion precision was analyzed quantitatively,and a method was proposed to compensate the clearance.
