Application and market prospect of membrane bioreactors in China

Abstract:According to incomplete statistics,there are about 20 membrane bioreactor(MBR) plants possessing the capacity exceeding 1×104 m3/d in China by 2008.MBR plants have been successfully applied to as the treatment of municipal wastewater,hospital wastewater,landfill leachate,petrochemical wastewater and so on.More stringent regulations and wastewater reuse standards have to be confronted.Thus,it is expected that MBR has strongly and widely increasing potential to be applied to the extension engineering of municipal,sewage engineering and the reuse of regenerated water.
