Abstract:Nutrition plays a key role in chronic diseases including obesity,diabetes,cardiovascular disease and cancer.As the concept of "Developmental Origins of Health and Disease Hypothesis(DOHaD)" was put forward,more and more domestic and foreign scholars pay attention to the association between early-life developmental origins and adulthood disease,especially the connection between pregnancy nutrition and offspring obesity.The hypothesis that epigenetic mechanisms may link such nutritional imbalances with altered disease risk has been gaining acceptance over the last few years.The analysis on the role of epigenetic mechanisms in the impact of maternal nutrition during pregnancy on offspring obesity can provide a promising scientific advice for the early intervention of obesity.
