Empirical Study on the Government Public Goods Provision Performance of 17 Cities in Anhui Province——Based on AHP

Abstract:Based on a literature overview of domestic and overseas researches on government performance evaluation,this paper designs a new indicator system for public goods provision assessment based on AHP,and conducts an empirical study on the government public goods provision performance of 17 cities in Anhui Province with performance assessing methods such as performance indexes,performance deviation indexes,and performance indexes.The result shows that the status of public goods provision of 17 cities in Anhui province presents many characteristics such as improvement at low level,region discrepancy enlargement,and being hysteresis nature with the development of economic society form the end of Ninth Five Year Planning to the end of Tenth Five Year Planning.At the end,this paper proposes some suggestions such as establishing the sharing mechanism of investment,perfecting local financial system,and strengthening the supporting power to the subsidence area with public goods provision.
