Research advances of nonlinearity in the photonic crystal fiber

Abstract:First,the phenomena and cause formation of the nonlinear effects in the photonic crystal fibers are briefly described in this paper,and meanwhile the relation between the nonlinear coefficient and the geometry parameters of the photonic crystal fibers is analyzed.Then the way how to get higher nonlinear coefficient is discussed.At last,the several methods for measuring the non- linear coefficient in the photonic crystal fibers are sum up and compared,whose merits and demerits are discussed.
