Abstract:In this paper, we use Aleksandrov's reflection principle to prove symmetry of solutions to F(∇Sn2u+uI)=f(u,u2+|∇Snu|2), where u is the support function of a convex body, and F is a function of principal radii. As a corollary, alongside [Ivaki, arXiv:2307.06252], we provide an alternative proof of the uniqueness of solution to the isotropic Gaussian-Minkowski problem.

In this article, we construct a positive, Holder continuous function f is an element of C alpha(S-n) such that there are infinitely many C-2,C-alpha hypersurfaces which are not affine-equivalent, but have the same centro-affine curvature 1/f.

Abstract:There is a long standing conjecture in Hamiltonian analysis which claims that there exist at least $n$ geometrically distinct closed characteristics on every compact convex hypersurface in $\R^{2n}$ with $n\ge 2$. Besides many partial results, this conjecture has been only completely solved for $n=2$. In this paper, we give a confirmed answer to this conjecture for $n=3$. In order to prove this result, we establish first a new resonance identity for closed characteristics on every compact convex hypersurface $\Sg$ in $\R^{2n}$ when the number of geometrically distinct closed characteristics on $\Sg$ is finite. Then using this identity and earlier techniques of the index iteration theory, we prove the mentioned multiplicity result for $\R^6$. If there are exactly two geometrically distinct closed characteristics on a compact convex hypersuface in $\R^4$, we prove that both of them must be irrationally elliptic.

Abstract:We prove that if [Formula: see text] is a family of line singularities with constant Lê numbers and such that [Formula: see text] is a homogeneous polynomial, then [Formula: see text] is equimultiple. This extends to line singularities a well-known theorem of Gabrièlov and Kušnirenko concerning isolated singularities. As an application, we show that if [Formula: see text] is a topologically [Formula: see text]-equisingular family of line singularities, with [Formula: see text] homogeneous, then [Formula: see text] is equimultiple. This provides a new partial positive answer to the famous Zariski multiplicity conjecture for a special class of non-isolated hypersurface singularities.

Abstract:Let G be one of the classical Lie groups GL(n+1)(R), GL(n+1)(C), U(p, q + 1), O(p, q + 1), On+1(C), SO(p, q + 1), SOn+1(C), and let G' be respectively the subgroup GL(n)(R), GL(n)(C), U(p, q), O(p, q), O-n(C), SO(p, q), SO (C), embedded in G in the standard way. We show that every irreducible Casselman-Wallach representation of G' occurs with multiplicity at most one in every irreducible Casselman-Wallach representation of G. Intersections of Real Symmetric Hypersurfaces

Abstract:We prove a symmetric version of Bézout's theorem. More precisely, we show that the symmetric orbit type of a transverse intersection of complex symmetric hypersurfaces in projective space is determined by the degrees. In the projective plane, we fully classify the possible orbit types of such intersection loci using completely elementary methods. From this classification, we obtain strong restrictions on the number of real points in the intersection of real symmetric curves. We also provide a partial classification in $\mathbb{P}^3_{\mathbb{C}}$, with a similar restriction on real points.

Abstract:The purpose of this article is to deal with the multiple values and uniqueness problem of meromorphic mappings from $\mathbb{C}^{m}$ into the complex projective space $\mathbb{P}^{n}(\mathbb{C})$ sharing fixed and moving hypersurfaces. We obtain several uniqueness theorems which improve and extend some known results.

Abstract:We show first that a generic hypersurface $V$ of degree $d\geq 3$ in the complex projective space $ \mathbb{P}^n$ of dimension $n \geq 3$ has at least one hyperplane section $V \cap H$ containing exactly $n$ ordinary double points, alias $A_1$ singularities, in general position, and no other singularities. Equivalently, the dual hypersurface $V^{\vee}$ has at least one normal crossing singularity of multiplicity $n$. Using this result, we show that the dual of any smooth hypersurface with $n,d \geq 3$ has at least a very singular point $q$, in particular a point $q$ of multiplicity $\geq n$.

Abstract:Let $\Sigma $ be a $C^3$ compact symmetric convex hypersurface in $\mathbf {R}^{8}$. We prove that when $\Sigma $ carries exactly four geometrically distinct closed characteristics, then all of them must be symmetric. Nous montrons que $f$ et $g$ ont la même multiplicité en 0 si et seulement s'il existe des germes réduits $f'$ et $g'$ analytiquement équivalents à $f$ et $g$, respectivement, tels que $f'$ et $g'$ satisfassent une inégalité du type de Rouché par rapport à un `petit' cercle générique autour de~0. Comme application, nous donnons une reformulation de la question de Zariski sur la multiplicité et une réponse partielle positive à celle--ci.

Abstract:We exhibit the first set of examples of non-bumpy metrics on the $(n+1)$-sphere ($2\leq n\leq 6$) in which the varifold associated with the two-parameter min-max construction must be a multiplicity-two minimal $n$-sphere. This is proved by a new area-and-separation estimate for certain minimal hypersurfaces with Morse index two inspired by an early work of Colding-Minicozzi. We also construct non-bumpy projective spaces in which the first min-max hypersurfaces are one-sided, and non-bumpy balls in which the free boundary min-max hypersurfaces are improper.

On Zariski multiplicity conjecture for quasihomogeneous surfaces with non-isolated singularities

Abstract:We consider a finitely determined map germ $f$ from $(\mathbb{C}^2,0)$ to $(\mathbb{C}^3,0)$. In this case, the double point curve $D(f)$ plays a fundamental role in studying the topology of the image of $f$. When $f$ is quasihomogeneous and has corank $1$, we present a characterization of the fold components of the double point curve $D(f)$. In our setting, we also consider Zariski multiplicity question for a pair of germs of (parametrized) quasihomogeneous surfaces $(\textbf{X},0)$ and $(\textbf{Y},0)$ in $(\mathbb{C}^3,0)$ with one dimensional singular set. Finally, we characterize Whitney equisingularity of an unfolding $\mathcal{F} =(f_t,t)$ of $f$ through the constancy of the Milnor number of a single plane curve in the source. This gives in some sense an answer to a question by Ruas in $1994$.

Abstract:We will give optimal bounds for Seshadri constants of an ample line bundle at multiple points on a complex projective surface X. We also present a solution to the long-studied classical problem on the existence of curves on X with given topological singularities at r arbitrary points p 1,...,p r . Namely, we obtain a universal lower bound on the degree of curves for the existence. It is independent of the position of the singular points.

Abstract:Let $S\to C$ be a smooth quasi-projective surface properly fibered onto a smooth curve. We prove that the multiplicativity of the perverse filtration on $H^*(S^{[n]},\mathbb{Q})$ associated with the natural map $S^{[n]}\to C^{(n)}$ implies that $S\to C$ is an elliptic fibration. The converse is also true when $S\to C$ is a Hitchin-type elliptic fibration.
