Purification of Total Alkaloids from Nelumbo Nucifera by Macroporous Resin

Abstract:Objective To set up a new technique for purification of total alkaloids from embry of Nelumbo nucifera gaertn seed by macroporous resin.Methods Seven kinds of different macroporous resins were adopted to absorb total alkaloids from Nelumbo nucifera gaertn seed.The orthogonal test was used to analyze dynamic absorption and desorption.Results DA201 resin had the best absorption quantity.The optimum conditions were as follows absorption conditions: concentration 1.87 mg·ml-1,pH 10,volume 8BV,velocity of flow 2 mg·ml-1;desorption conditions: ethanol concentration 70%,pH3,volume 8BV,velocity of flow 2 mg·min-1.Conclusion It has good effect to separate total alkaloids from embryo of Nelumbo nucifera gaertn seed by macroporous resin DA201 which can be used for a long time.There is preferable industrialized foreground.
