Abstract:Objective To study the constituents in the dried aerial parts of Eclipta prostrata.Methods The constituents were isolated and purified by column chromatography and their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic methods（1D,2D NMR,UV,IR,and HRESI-TOF-MS）and chemical analyses.Results Eight compounds were isolated and identified as 7-O-methylorobol-4′-O-β-D-glucopyranoside（1）,3′-hydroxybiochanin A（2）,echinocystic acid28-O-β-D-glucopyranoside（3）,ecliptasaponin A（4）,eclalbasaponin I（5）,eclalbasaponin IV（6）,echinocystic acid（7）,and 3-oxo-16α-hydroxy-olean-12-en-28-oic acid（8）.Conclusion Compound 1 is a new compound and compound 3 is obtained from this genus for the first time.

Abstract:A total of twenty-two compounds were isolated from the 95% EtOH extract of Eclipta prostrata by various purification steps, and their structures were established as ecliptalignin A (1)，ecliptasaponin Ⅰ (2), ecliptasaponin Ⅱ (3), echinocystic acid (4), 3-oxo-16α-hydroxy-olean-12-en-28-oic acid (5), acacetin-7-O-rutinoside (6), luteoloside (7), apigenin (8), luteolin (9), acacetin (10), skullcapflavone Ⅱ (11), kaempferol (12), kaempferide (13), quercetin (14), 4',7-dihydroxyl-3',6'-dimethoxylisoflavone-7-O-glucoside (15), ecliptal (16), 5-hydroxymethyl-(2,2',5',2″)-terthienyl tiglate (17), psoralen (18), isopsoralen (19), wedelolactone (20), crinumaquine (21), and 2,3,9,12-tetramethoxyprotoberberine (22) mainly based on the spectroscopic techniques, of which 1 was a new lignin analogue, and 5, 6, 10-13, 15, 18, 19, 21 and 22 were isolated form this plant for the first time.

Abstract:Two new 9,10-seco-cycloartanes, named sphaerophyside SC (1) and sphaerophyside SD (2), together with four known compounds (3-6), were obtained from the ethanol extract of the seeds of Sphaerophysa salsula. The structures of these compounds were elucidated on the basis of spectral and chemical evidences. Compounds 3-6 were isolated from the plant for the first time.

Abstract:OBJECTIVETo study the pharmacologically active components of Eclipta prostrata.METHODThe components were extracted by alcohol and isolated by silica gel column and subjected to pharmacological screening.RESULTFour compounds were isolated from E. prostrata, of which two were identified as stigmasterol and alpha-terthienyl.CONCLUSIONalpha-Terthienyl was isolated from the plant for the first time. The EtOAc part of alcoholic extraction exhibits significant hepatoprotective activity against carbon terachloride-induced liver injury in rats.

Abstract:Objective To analyze chemical constituents of Eclipta Prostrata using UHPLC-Q-TOF/MS.Methods Agilent SB-C18 column(2.1 mm×100 mm,1.8 μm) was used for separation and identification of chemical components in Eclipta Prostrata with a mobile phase of acetonitrile-water system in gradient elution.Q-TOF/MS was applied for qualitative analysis under a positive ion mode.Five origins of Eclipta Prostrata were analyzed.Results Under the UHPLC/MS condition,29 compounds were identified in Eclipta Prostrate.Conclusion This method provides reference for establishing quality control standards of Eclipta Prostrata.

Abstract:Eleven known compounds were isolated from the whole plant of Hedyotis cryptantha .On the basis of spectroscopic data,their structures were identified as asperuloside(1),asperulosidic acid(2),asperulosidic acid methyl ester(3),asperulosidic acid ethyl ester (4),3,4-dihydro-3-methoxy asperuloside (5),kaempferol (6), kaempferol 3,7-di-O -β-D-glucoside(7),kaempferol 3-O -β-D-galactopyranosyl-(1→3)-β-D-galactopyranoside(8), ursonic acid(9),stigmasterol(10),andβ-sitosterol(11).All of these compounds were isolated from this plant for the first time,while compounds 7 and 8 were found from the genus Hedyotis for the first time.

Abstract:Sixteen compounds were isolated from the aerial portions of Seseli yunnanense Franch(Umbelliferae),and their structures were determined by spectroscopic analysis as chrysosptertin B(1),quercetin(2),quercetin-3-O-glucoside(3),hyperin(4),isorhamnetin-3-O-glucoside(5),apiin(6),rutin(7),imperatorin(8),osthol(9),umbelliferone(10),ferulic acid(11),falcarindiol(12),docosanol(13),stearic acid(14),β-sitosterol(15),daucosterol(16).All these compounds were isolated from the aerial parts of Seseli yunnanense for the first time.

Abstract:AIM:To investigate the chemical constituents of the aerial part of Euphorbia hirta Linn.METHODS:The chemical constituents were isolated and purified by various chromatographic techniques,and their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic analysis.RESULTS:Nine compounds were isolated and identified as scopoletin (1),scoparone (2),isoscopoletin (3),quercetin (4),isorhamnetin (5),pinocembrin (6),kaempferol (7),luteolin (8),gallic acid (9).CONCLUSION:Among them compounds 1-3,5-8 were found from this plant for the first time.

Abstract:Two new thiazinediones along with five known compounds were isolated from the fruits of Xanthium strumarium L. The structures of the two new compounds were determined to be 7-hydroxymethyl-8,8-dimethyl-4,8-dihydrobenzol[1,4]thiazine-3,5-dione-11-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (1) and 2-hydroxy-7-hydroxymethyl-8,8-dimethyl-4,8-dihydrobenzol[1,4]thiazine-3,5-dione-11-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (2). The five known compounds were identified as xanthiazone (3), chlorogenic acid (4), ferulic acid (5), formononetin (6), and ononin (7), respectively.

Abstract:Thirty-one compounds, including fourteen triterpenoids (1–14), seven coumarins (15–21), four lignans (22–25), and six diterpenes (26–31) were isolated from the aerial part of Euphorbia hirta. The structures were elucidated by spectroscopic methods and by comparison of their reported spectroscopic data. These compounds have shown the chemical relationships between this plant and other species from the genus Euphorbia.

Abstract:Aim:To investigate the chemical constituents of the aerial parts of Euphorbia sororia.Methods:Chemical constituents were isolated and purified by silica gel,Sephadex LH-20 and C18 column chromatographic method.Their structures were elucidated on the basis of the physiochemical characteristics and the spectral data.Results:Fifteen compounds from ethyl acetate-extracts and n-butanol-extracts were isolated and identified as kaempferol 3-O-(2″-O-E-p-coumaroyl)-β-D-glucopyranoside(1),kaempferol 3-O-(6″-O-E-p-coumaroyl)-β-D-glucopyranoside(2),apigenin 7-O-(3″-O-E-p-coumaroyl)-β-D-glucopyranoside(3),kaempferol 3-O-β-D-galactopyranoside(4),tricin(5),quercetin 3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(6),quercetin 3-O-β-D-galactopyranoside(7),7α-hydrositosterol(8),(22E,24R)-24-methyl-5α-cholesta-7,22-diene-3β,5,6β-triol(9),β-indole carboxylic acid(10),thymine(11),adenosine(12),uracil(13),uridine(14),and syringin(15),respectively.Conclusion:All of the fifteen compounds were obtained from the plant for the first time.

Abstract:A new coumarin glucoside, 8-hydroxy-5-O-beta-D-glucosylpsoralen, along with 17 known cournarins and one steroid, was isolated from the roots of Heracleum rapula Franch. Four coumarin glucosides, including the new one, were obtained from the water-soluble fraction. The other coumarins isolated from the ethyl acetate-fraction included 10 furanocoumarins, a simple coumarin and three types of bicoumarins. Their structures were elucidated by means of spectroscopic analysis.

Abstract:Objective To study the chemical constituents of Euphorbia tirucalli.Methods The chemical constituents were isolated by repeated silica gel and Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography,and their structures were elucidated by physical and spectral analyses.Results Eleven compounds were isolated and identified as β-amyrin acetate(1),lupenone(2),3-acetoxy-20-lupanol(3),cycloart-25-en-3β,24ζ-diol(4),cycloart-25-en-3β-ol-24-one(5),cycloart-23(E)-en-3β,25-diol(6),euphane-25-en-3α-ol(7),quercetin(8),kaempferol(9),daucosterin(10),and β-sitosterol(11).Conclusion Compounds 1—9 are isolated from the title plant for the first time.

Abstract:Four new compounds, including one new sesquiterpene dimer, i.e., shizukaol P (1), one new dimeric sesquiterpene glycoside, i.e., 9-O-beta-glucopyranosylcycloshizukaol A (2), and two new sesquiterpenes, i.e., shizukanolides G and H (3 and 4, resp.), together with eight known compounds, were isolated from the aerial part of Chloranthus fortunei. The structures and relative configurations were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic data and by comparison with those of the related compounds reported in the literature.
