Review of Major-Country Diplomacy with Chinese Characteristics ( 2012-2021):A Visual Analysis Based on CiteSpace Mapping Knowledge Domains

Abstract:Facing unprecedented changes of the world in a century, we have embarlced on a path of major-country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics, which has reaped fruitful results and become a hot topic of academic research. CiteSpace and CNKI quantitative analysis function can be used to carry out a visual analysis of relevant literature in the CNKI database from 2012 to 2021. From the statistical results of annual publications, researchers, research institutions, funding projects, journal sources and highly cited literature, a research overview can be summarized. From the results of keyword co-occurrence, keyword clustering, keyword time line, keyword mediating centrality strength and keyword burstiness, core themes, development process and frontier trends of research hotspots can be analyzed. On the basis of reviewing the relevant literature in the past decade, future research should strengthen the exchange of researchers and research institutions, broaden the dimension of research perspectives, increase the diversity of research methods, and pay more attention to the others'perspective of major-country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics, so as to promote the prosperity and development of research in this field.
