Abstract:Objective To evaluate in vitro antifungal activities of six antifungal agents against dermatophytes.Methods Sensitivities of dermatophytes isolated from tinea pedis and tinea corporis & cruris to bifonazole,sertaconazole nitrate,isoconazole nitrate,butenafine HCL,amorolfine,liranaftate were tested by broth microdilution method according to CLSI M-38P.Results The MICs MIC_50 and MIC_90 of butenafine HCL were 0.002 5～0.04 mg/L,0.01 mg/L,0.02 mg/L,respectively.Amorolfine 0.01～>0.08 mg/L,0.02 mg/L and 0.04 mg/L,respectively.Liranaftate 0.004～0.625 mg/L,0.039 mg/L and 0.312 mg/L,respectively.Isoconazole nitrate 0.03～2 mg/L,0.25 mg/L and 0.5 mg/L,respectively.Sertaconazole nitrate 0.06～16 mg/L,0.5 mg/L and 2 mg/L,respectively.Bifonazole 0.03～4 mg/L,1 mg/L and 2 mg/L,respectively.Conclusions Our data suggested that six antifungal agents possess potent in vitro antifungal activities against dermatophytes,with butenafine HCL,amorpholine,liranaftate and azole antifungals in decreasing order.
