Investigation of Mental Health of Grass-roots Cadres in Disaster Area after the Earthquake

Abstract:Objective: The research surveyed mental health of grass-roots cadres in disaster area after the earthquake. Methods: The questionnaire of PCL-C, HSCL-25, PSSS, HTQ were used to survey grass-roots cadres’ PTSD, and study perceived social support, trauma exposure and its relationship with PTSD. Results: ①PTSD, depression, anxiety of grassroots cadres in disaster area were pretty serious; ②Grass-roots cadres in disaster area perceived social support highly; ③ PTSD, depression, anxiety of grass-roots cadres in most severe disaster area were most serious. Conclusion: At present, psychological assistance is necessary to strengthen the disaster area, in particular, is extremely grass-roots cadres in severe disaster and most severe disaster.
