Clinical analysis of 39 cases with brain abscess

Abstract:Objective To clarify the clinical characteristic of brain abscess and to probe into the methods of treatment in order to improve the effect of treatment on brain abscess. Methods The pathogenesis, etiology, imaging finds and methods of treatment were retrospectively reviewed in 39 cases with brain abscess. Results Most of cases were found in young and adult people. it is increasing that brain abscess result from cryptogenic infection and hematogenous spread. Conclusions Most cases of brain abscess were cured effectively if diagnosed in time.
