Regional Culture's Characteristics of Entrepreneurial Spirits: an Empirical Research from Zhejiang

Abstract:Entrepreneurial spirits as the source of entrepreneurs' entrepreneurial activities played important role for development of private economy. But in the current research on entrepreneurial spirits in China,most of the researchers inclined to neglect that entrepreneurial spirit was closely related with cultural environment where the entrepreneurs lived. This paper analyzed the interview data of ninety-eight Zhejiang's entrepreneurs by content analysis methods,summarized ten characteristics of Zhejiang's entrepreneurs' entrepreneurial spirits,then explained based on the Zhejiang's regional culture where the entrepreneurs lived. Lastly,it revealed that entrepreneurial spirits in different areas in Zhejiang had its own special characteristics through further analysis on the data.
