Abstract:ODMRP is well suited for ad hoc wireless networks with mobile hosts where bandwidth is limited,topology changes frequently,and power is constrained.In order to improve the performance of it,this paper proposed an enhanced ad-hoc multicast routing protocol,which is based on ODMRP.The new term of PSEUDO-DEATH state is first presented and applied to ODMRP,which is used to enhance the end-to-end route availability.In this paper,two protocols are simulated in GloMoSim,and results show that the enhanced protocol has very great improvement to such performance as distributing rate of the data and network validity,etc.So the enhancement works efficiently,which makes the ODMRP more suited for ad hoc network.
